So  my Avast is going apeshit with a VBS malware gen alert everytime i open a topic.
 
FYI   no time to read the FAQ or lurk moar with the sirens going off, so don't even start.

Just wondering if it's just me.

Someone posted about this at another forum and they said it had something to do with a recent release of Avast. They downloaded the latest release and it was fine.

Most definitly is you - I have Avast and get no problems with browsing this fourm - although I have it set to automatic updates so might have had that issue cleared out, as Amazed-n-Astounded mentioned someone had.

thank you guys, that's all i needed to know, good answer.
i've learnt to err on the side of caution with viruses.
my Avast updates at every boot and I can usually spot a false poz, plus it was only happening here.
so  just thought I would check in.

(My Avast! copy likes to loudly update itself when I am in class and have forgotten to set Spifftop's speakers to mute.

My Avast! updates usually scares the bejeebus out of me while I am deep into a creation within my Sims game with the headphones on.  :shock:
