What I find strange however, is that T$R have been able to take down the torrents, yet EA have not been able to remove torrents of the actual game itself. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Would changing trackers make it more difficult to get the torrents taken down? Thepiratebay.org is pretty well known for not caving in to "legal" pressure.

Like the phorum, they have a section devoted to mocking such threats, that's worth visiting for the lolz: http://thepiratebay.org/legal (Their response to an EAxis email is near the top of the list.).

Yeah I'm planning on uploading my next batch of torrents there. Currently doing rose's work next since she's thick as thieves with TSR And yes I saw EA's threats to TPB too LOL
