I'm not totally with you and not totally against you. But my only point, is if it's not legal to ask money for Sims stuff, why not let EA does their job.
EA aren't doing anything because it is not profitable for them to do so. The only thing they have said about this issue can be paraphrased as 'Sort it out amongst yourself'. So as far as 'letting EA do their job' goes, it...really is a non-issue.
They made this community to make money, don't you see it. The ''community'' help them to buy their expansion (wich are not very good either). The Sims 2 was supposed to be a lot better, without needed patch for working good. Anyway, this is their problem if people ask money for stuff not yours.
I'm not entirely sure what your point is supposed to be here. People download custom content (pay or otherwise), and STILL buy the expansions and stuff packs. I don't think I've ever seen anyone say 'I'm not gonna buy Pets (for example) because I spent all my money on paysites'
Don't have money to get donation stuff...your problem. The only thing that can happen is that a lot a site will close. If there was no cc, it's been a while that I had stop playing this game.
As everyone else has pointed out, only one site has closed, and that was her choice, and out of PRINCIPLE, not because she was run out of business and couldn't afford to keep the site open without selling a kidney, or anything like that, she just had a hissy fit. Oh, and if you'd stop playing if it weren't for custom content, you need a bit more challenge in your game...
Are really don't understand why you are doing all this drama about paysite. It concerns EA Games only. Nobody forced you to buy something, are you just jealous for not be able to have all these pay stuff?
It does not concern EA games only. It doesnt concern them at all. It concerns the rules they laid down, people breaking them, and other people who know no better, and waste their money. There is no jealousy here, the pay stuff is available, for free, and someone paid for it in the first place. This doesn't sound like an act of jealousy, or bitterness to me.
Really, you have to explain it to me. Ea Games pay you for making this or what?
You just don't seem to understand the underlying principles of this, nor how EA works as a business, they're not going to leap in and fix anything, we're out here doing this for the community at large, and for ourselves.
