Aaaah, HP smut dramawhore arguments. I never get tired of those. I'm in a particular pairing, and we're pretty good actually. We're not fucknuts like some of the other slash pairings! We talk like humans, and we stick up for each other. We're Puppyshippers. We're awesome, us.

I think we should do one big document of all the TS2 fucknuts--past and present. Then we should categorise them in their own sections including past/present. Following that, fucknut awards!

I found her far too derivative to enjoy her work.  Perhaps her original stories might be better than her fic, I'll give her that benefit of the doubt.  I'm not buying her books though.

I love watching the HP fandom for it's insanity, though I was upset that the final book didn't cause more online drama I was hoping for an internet meltdown. :lol:

I got her Draco trilogy recommended to me years ago, but gave up on it really quickly because it the author liked recycling quotes from Buffy which completely knocked me out of the fictioness. There was also some plagerisim wank about her lifting a number of passages from some book or other - it's mentioned somewhere in the msscribe wank. But she apparently got a publishing deal on the basis of her fanfiction and I like her LoTR very secret diaries so I'm a bit ambivalent about her.

Fanfiction pairing wise as far as I've seen the Harry/Hermione shippers bring the crazy like no one else. In comparison the sims community looks sedate. :twisted:

Oh yes - the Harry Hermione shippers are banned from talking about the ships on the board I was part of.  They found very elaborate ways to prove their theories, including essay-posts on alchemy. And mass posting - they'd come in one big conglomerate, and pat each other on the back for it.  Almost like watching Sheyza and his girlfriend in the s2c debates - you know it's soooo rigged.

I never came across any Harry-Snape shippers though - despite inadvertently finding Harry-Snape porn during an image search.  Extremely disturbing.  :?

Harmonians are the officially most fucked up people in the HP community. Even after JK slammed Harry/Hermione, they still came up with ways to say it was bollocks. Highly amusing.
Drarry and Snarry fans are hilarious. Half fuckwits and half silliness are what come out of them.
I still maintain that Puppyshippers (Remus/Sirius) are the most sensible people in the HP community, and we're pretty good to talk to too. We don't make a fuss over other ships and we'll back each other up non-violently. Pre-HP7, we had a lot of very, very good information about why our ship sailed once, and we're accepting of the fact that even though JK never mentioned it, it may have sailed in the past. After all, she never sank it unlike, oh, every other ship we've mentioned...

I read all 10 chapters of that thing PLUS all 4 epilogues or whatever she called them. It seemed to have ended rather abruptly, though, as no. 4 was still debating some stuff and that was back in November =/

Well, I decided to try and tackle the last 3 books, at least. After all, I did like the first 4 very much, it's just number 5 is so big and Harry is such a whiny wanker in it...  :roll:

Please know that there *are* sane H/Hr fans out there.  They're pretty much in hiding thanks to the fuckwits.  Like me!

I want to kick fans like the one you described in the nads as much as anyone else.  Then again, I'm not very tolerant of the crazy.

There is a difference though between being "H/Hr fan" and "H/Hr shipper".

A fan can dream in an alternate reality that Harry and Hermione will be together.  A shipper is clearly delusional as it has been pretty obvious since book two.

Hum. At this point I can hardly see where H/Hr shippers get their ideas from. R/H looks way more likely.

But the whole fan/shipper terminology makes sense (also in term of other fandoms). I mean, some people are just nuts and unrealistic in what they are certain is going to happen. Me, I just like to explore possibilities and also impossibilities in my fanfic. I don't see a reason to get wound up either way. The worst you'll get from me is a frown and a "that's stupid, I reject your reality and substitute my own!" (gotta love Adam Savage)

I am not a part of any HP fanfic groups or anything, having written my few fanfics about anime before my fanfic craze fizzled out. But, as a somewhat rabid HP fangirl, I will still tell you my opinion. So nah.

Actually, I can't stand most HP ships, the worst being Harry/Draco, followed closely by Snape/Harry. I actually read this bizzare fic once where the pairings were so bad it scarred me for life (I'm talking Harry/snape, Hermionie/Draco and Ron/McGonigal for fuck's sake). However, Marauder pairings don't bother me at all, and I think JK is actually pretty clear about Sirius' feelings for James. I also thought that based on the few clues dropped here and there, Lupin/Lily could have been sweet.

And yeah, even in the last book, Harry is a bit of an asshole. And by 'a bit' I mean 'at times raging'. I was a little disappointed that Ginny wasn't in it more, after her abilities and how smart she is was played up so much in the past.
