I think it says that we're responsible for people not getting thanks or something. It sounds like it's actually confusing two separate issues (we're mean, and so everyone who is mean must be connected to us). I'm not sure, hopefully someone with a really good grasp of German can translate it.

Again, I'm sorry that people don't feel like they're getting appropriate thanks and credit, however every cruel word or lack of thanks should not be connected to us. How we feel about paysites is separate from how we feel about creators, especially when they are free creators (like Solander, for example). Don't assume that just because someone writes "Ur Lame! and U totaly Suck!!!" in your guestbook, that it would be endorsed by people here.

Slayer, if you read through the original letter, you can see our issue was that we were lumped in with the whiny idiots who harrass free site owners and some renagades who ARE actual content thiefs. We felt we were being blamed for something we simply did not do.

And as you can see, statements - and positions were clarified.

Slayer, I like you, but please...read the whole thread before making a comment that shows you haven't done your homework.

I'm sorry for that. I did read the letter and I think it only implied that pirates are also whiny creators. Some pirates are, some aren't. It just pisses me off to see people attack free site owners/content creators. People attacking Delphy, people attacking HP, and now a couple people in this thread are attacking Solander.

I was more responding to people who were attacking him, other people outside this forum too.

I don't think Solander meant to lump us in the same group as thieves and whiny children. I think he only wrongly worded his letter for 2 reasons: 1.) He was pissed off. 2.) His english isn't as well as ours.

Yes I saw the thread and it reminded me of criticism I've read many other places and from people who still attack him. And I ranted. Maybe I was wrong. And I'm sorry for that.

SlayerAngel, I can understand why you're upset but I think the frustration is being misdirected.  I personally do not feel "harass" is being used appropriately here with the exception of what Delphy has gone through.  Simply because people disagree with Solander's take on the situation he has found himself in does not make it harassment.  I suggest taking a break and collecting your thoughts because you aren't making much sense.

ETA to the post below me:  If they really only wanted thanks, what is stopping from them being free creators?  Are they really asking us to pay AND give them thanks?  Isn't paying already a form of thanks in a way?  I don't see how they can feasibly have it both ways and I personally don't think they should.

People slandering him? I call that harassment. Nobody deserves to be slandered. I only think that it's a coincidence that some german creators are shutting down. Also, most of them did to sell out to TSR. Solander didn't sell out. Yes he was a member but isn't anymore. I only think that him shutting down his site for a while is just a wake-up call. His way of saying that nothing is stopping him from just taking his toys and going home. Maybe it would be wrong but nothing is in his way.

I think people need to stop attacking him for mis wording a post. We all do it and come off as things that we're not, especially when you're upset. But he is not our enemy. He's not even close. I have no problem with him being neutral on the issue. But the fact that he chose to be a free only creator makes me respect him.

Well he apologized for miswording his letter and we can't fault him for that. Yes he did come off as a little cocky but I've read much worse. But he's not our enemy. Sasilia, Marcela and Murano however

Slander?  I don't think so.  You're taking things so far out of proportion that it's really outrageous.  It is not us that took what he did and made a "freesites/paysites unite against pirates/nonrespectful people" stand from it.  His paysite friends did.  It's not a coincidence.  It's a deliberate move.

I don't think you're comprehending what you're reading because you're too emotional.  Take a breather.
