Has their sims 1 stuff ever become free? If not this may have happened before because I have a lot of their sims 1 pay items on an old CD and i've never payed for any sims 1 content ever.

Awww ... I think they changed the donation area.

I saw this on the donation page:

"Due to a server problem we cannot accept payments for now.
We are working to fix this problem as soon as possible.
The problem does not affect to curent subscribers."

wyrdwing, in the beginning, everything was free. Even TSR! 

I downloaded their content for free, too. It was the same thing with Sim Freaks and a lot of another sites.

I used to like their TS stuff, but somehow they completely lost any talent and taste they had in the switch to TS2.  I just went and looked at their stuff again - its been a LONG time since I have been there.  That username and password still works, but I wouldn't download it for free.  Its all fugly crap.

The only thing i have found decent or salvageable from their site is a couple of hair meshes and the last female adult outfit.
