Gah! My eyes! Well, I'd expect, what with the game not being all that old, that things aren't going to be as top quality as they will be in, say, a year or two. But, geez. I mean, geez. Paying for utter crap? No thanks, I'll pass. Frankly, I wouldn't download it even if it were free, but... eewww.

I see what you mean, and I understand its logic, lorikay. But. I'd rather live in a society where people are ready to randomly accuse and believe this of other people than one where no one is willing to accuse people of these things for 'posterity' or out of fear or shame or what-have-you. I understand that that is very black-and-white of me, and that the world, on the whole, is made up of many shades of grey and that, ideally, it would be nice to have a society where neither of these things are the norm; something like a happy medium. But I'm just thinking in terms of 50 or so years ago and how awful it was for survivors because no one believed them, or, if they did, didn't care or want to talk about it. I'd rather people be overzealous in their guard than not at all.

I am creating a second DL folder dedicated to Maxis Match (uber-mega-hood FTW) and all of Adele's objects just *ahem* magically ended up in there. There are a lot of fantastic non-MM things in the community, but hers are the only ones I couldn't bear to spend a second of gameplay without. Speaking of Maxis Match, here's some gems from aquilegia. I think they were up in the finds at GoS, so if you frequent that, you've probably already seen them before. I'm trying not to download anything new until I get all the files on my poor dear old compy organized, but those will be the first thing to add after I'm done!

Now Disney's got Marvel. And frankly, I'm scared.
Oh, crapola. The hubbs and I were watching The Hulk the other night and he said something about Disney buying Marvel and I flat out told him that I didn't believe him because no one could be so cruel as to do such a thing. Guess I owe him an apology!

I've always been curious just how many children believe Disney's version of history. I was lucky enough to have a mother who told me every other time The Little Mermaid was on (which was quite often) that "That wasn't the way Hans Christian Andersen wrote it!" and proceeded to outline the sad tale that was really what he wrote. [Did I say lucky? I meant unfortunate!] And of course this type of thing wasn't limited to that one film, or even just Disney films. However, I also knew a girl who, at the age of 9, refused to believe that the characters in cartoons weren't real. She swore to me that they were real life actors, and I was absolutely wrong wrong wrong! Her mother wasn't about to dash her daughter's fantastic notions, however odd and unrealistic they were. Which brings me back to - I wonder how many children these days really believe Disney's version of history?

Possibly off-topic post, but has anyone seen this week's secrets? I found #24 particularly relevant to the whole accusation TSR made, saying we're all dirty copyright-infringing pirates and we all torrent the game. I know that it's technically only hearsay, but if it is true, it is yet another (albeit small) example of the hypocrisy that envelopes TSR. *edit - haz a stupid

My guess is all the more "technical" nastiness is the same person or group (*cough* Atwa and friends *cough*), and the easier random crap is copycats.
Yes, perhaps someone who is sympathetic to TSR. Or it could be just a jerk who wants to stir things up. Definitely the possibility of a copycat.

Oh my. Those swimsuits could certainly make the rounds in the Smutty thread! Aside from all the obvious wrongage there, the creator does not seem to realize that the little circles on the second set are supposed to go over the belly button rather than above it. And poor old Granny Big Boobs. She does not look happy!

<SNIP> Peggy, next time don't go so damned fast. Her wig's slipping. Can we have some duct tape over here?
I lol'd. It looks like part of the way through, Peggy just thought "Well, her hair's on sideways, but, uh... fuck it. GIMME UR MONIES!"
