Well, I didn't actually think there was anything that controversial about bringing up Plasticbox. For the record, my grandparents' house used to have two separate mini-bathrooms, one with a toilet and sink, the other with a shower/bathtub. I think it's just kind of a quaint building style. And in other news, if you're looking for some art to decorate all those adorable Plasticbox lots you downloaded, BabaYaga just uploaded some really great Simlish Vintage Fruit Ads at MTS. Definitely worth checking out. Download here.

Also, some companies CLAIM they're hiring, but they play games.
Actually, this is a really good point. I once had a part-time job at a place whose policy it was to reply "We're always hiring" when asked, when in fact it was usually a downright lie. More often than not, we already had way too many people on staff and not enough hours for the people already working there. People would come in for multiple interviews and even take tests (yes, this job made you jump through hoops for a minimum-wage, part-time job), when in fact there weren't even any positions available. Don't ask me what this accomplished. Not that I think this justifies becoming a paysite, however. To me, it's not unlike any other illegal activity: I may have sympathy with the circumstances that lead people to get there, but that doesn't make it any less illegal.

I think what ChaosInAMinor meant is that posts with an overuse of ellipses can be difficult to understand. As a general rule, once per post is plenty, otherwise it can be difficult to follow what is being said. Also, as a side note, I wouldn't worry too much about being called "dude". Here in the midwest, at least, it gets used plenty as a slang term for both genders. Incidentally, your post lead me to believe that you are confusing American English and British English, which are in fact two different things, thus neither can be more "correct" than the other. (The English teacher in me just had to point that out. )

/snip Sims 2 Sisters. Just look at them waists! So WUNDERFUL!
Those waists creep me the hell out. Liana (sp?) does the same thing, and it's for that reason I cannot stand using any recolors of her meshes in game. Do women not have rib cages where these people live? Honestly, it just pisses me off when I see things like that... because, you know, there aren't enough women out there struggling with anatomically impossible beauty standards as it is.

Actually, Thomas uncannily chose the perfect word to describe what the majority of us have become in regards to paysites. Webster defines disillusioned as "to cause to lose naive faith or trust". I strongly suspect the word he actually meant was delusion, as in, "something that is falsely believed". However, in his failure to understand some pretty basic vocabulary, Thomas was accidentally honest with everyone.

Oh, TSR. Yet again, you fail miserably, both in your attempt to shut down PMBD and in your constant struggles to be seen as "professional". I do not think you have a full grasp of the vocabulary you are using, and I've read essays written by seventh graders that contradict themselves less.
Either way, Thomas is always good for entertainment value, I suppose, although it could also be a lame attempt at distracting us from the Buggybooz/Shakeshaft drama.

Because that would take real effort on their part and would require them to leave the comforts of their nicely padded computer chairs... Also, I'm pretty sure that a real job generally wouldn't make as much money as some of the paysites make, depending what the job is. Didn't Peggy or somebody take a vacation based completely off money generated from her paysite? Anyway, the point is that for many of them, they are making more money than they ever could in an honest profession.

Yup - and they will keep other paysite content up in the exchange, and obviously inappropriate stories and items, but the minute the pay item is from TSR...its deleted.
Honestly, is the only point in paysites to get profitable gain from Sims content? Or do these people give the cash to something worthwhile? Like a charity or something. I was incorrectly told about one site. I was told the money went towards Autism research, but apparently, it didn't. There have been many paysites in the past that claimed all or a portion of the money gained was donated to some kind of a worthy cause. As far as I know, they were all later revealed to be scams.

I have a theory about the SM announcement, though; aren't a couple of them working for TSR? Sounds like they're trying to cover their arses by stripping the TSR guys of their mod powers.
I don't know about the SimMasters, but several of the Maxoids are most likely in TSR's pocket, and unfortunately they're still around. Drea, for one, is definitely not subtle about it. To be honest, I'm not even sure what it is that SMs do at the site, so I'm not sure what to make of this.
