You don't often hear the flying f..ornication at a rolling doughnut line these days.  Ah, memories.

Oh the humanity!  I've tried so hard to get rid of extraneous sim downloads, and just when I think I've had some success, I come into this thread and see those wedge chairs.  And now I'll be waiting for the damn slipper chair.  Jeez.  They're just irresistible, Snarky.

Those beds are fan-damn-tastic.

Just curious... how do they explain people like me who disliked paysites before they even knew Pescado existed? I stumbled on TSR before I went to MTS2, and thought, "this is lame." Paying for mods is not the norm in the gaming communities I'm familiar with, and mods that take years to make are, so "waah I want money for my time and hard work" doesn't fly with me.

That's something I've always wondered about myself.  I didn't need this site or Pes to make me dislike them.  But they seem to think he's the pirate devil who led so many of the flock astray.

I'd say asking would be the best course of action, but I wouldn't be surprised if you got a big fat no.  Several Back Alley folks are not Pescado fans, and even though it may not have his name attached, we know that a lot of ambivalent and pro-pay site people think no one else can possibly have come to dislike pay sites without his "brainwashing."   Then again, they may surprise me.

eta-just had to change that e to a y.

In spite of disagreeing with Yakov's philosophy on pay sites and his general attitude in more than a few cases, I've never made a secret of wishing him well.  When he told the general populace over at InSimadult that he had cancer, and of his numerous other health problems, several "pirates" sent him well wishes and support.  Nice to know we didn't waste our breath on someone who can't seem to keep reality and fantasy from overlapping anymore. /sarcasm

He's always been venomous and hot-headed, but I have to agree that his statements are a new low.  I can't say I've never said something cruel that I wish I could take back, but I've never done it in a public forum.  Hell, I haven't even said it aloud most times.

Fucking classy, Yakov.

What really pisses me off is:

"...I'm really very concerned about this prior understanding that the community supposedly had with Kathy and Eric, the one that said that only server costs and domain fees were to be covered by donations and ad income. Obviously you can tell from what I wrote earlier that I don't think much of that approach..."

Supposedly? What we made it up? You don't think much of using the files in the only way we are legally allowed to? You don't think much of upholding the TOU to which we all agreed when installing the game - oh, wait, you never installed the game. So it's not his problem, it's ours. We're just too stupid to realize how much monies we could be making here, so Walt's going to fleece us to cover up his own management phail and move on. Uh, huh. Valuable life lesson in 3...2...

I actually seem to recall Kathy stating in one of her beg-fests that there was no profit to be had.  Of course, I have to way of finding that post at the moment, and worse, I could be wrong. Tongue

I don't really understand the creators who don't have copies of their own work. I have a hard time deleting stuff I make that's crap, just because it's mine, even though it sucks. I can't imagine not having backups of things I actually thought were good enough to upload.

I feel exactly the same.  I have very few sims uploaded on the adult side, and I have backups, but I'm anal retentive to the point that I just have to double check. Cheesy

Hell, I'd just like to get on long enough to download any of my piddly shit that I may not have backed up.  They aren't much, but they are mine.

Add me to the list of people not surprised that Kathy and Eric sold the site in such a way.  You could tell there were storm clouds on the horizon.  I'm sorry they've had personal issues, but they're not alone.  It really doesn't excuse letting the site languish for a year, in spite of numerous offers of help, and then selling it without so much as a how-do-you-do.  Their site, they can do as they want - true enough.  My money - I can do what I want with it just as easily.

I'm not keen on Walt's condescending little posts and my monthly sub is soon to be canceled.  I never liked being threatened with site closure by Kathy after just paying out my sub money, but taking what I'm giving, begging for more and then dismissing my contribution is just not worth it.

It has a vaguely vagina-like appearance.  No?

God how I wanted a pair of Wonder Woman Underoos, but I made do with (I believe) C3PO ones.  Running around in your undies was the shit.

I snagged the purdy house too.  I don't like houses with a lot of CC either, so this is perfect.

And she's always dancing around like she's trying not to piss down her leg.  Try Depends, Madge.
