I for one have nothing against vegetarians (was one myself for four years; not a moral vegetarian, just one that randomly started hating the taste of meat and stopped being able to digest it normally), vegans, animal rights activists or the like. But the problem I have with PETA is the same that I have with green consumerist organizations: They're pointing their fingers at the wrong folks. As in, your average person and not the major corporations that produce that shit. Well, the vast majority of it.

*ahem*

But yeah, while I find it hard to feel terrible for most FAs or once FAs who want to be FAs again... I definitely cringed when it turned out that Raveena had no idea that it was even coming. Apparently almost getting fired a year ago was her only warning? And THEN making a public announcement to her peers without prior notification? NOT a good move, and is likely to bring down the morale. That's just running a, um, "business" badly.

Last year, the downstairs neighbors used to keep their compost heap in the back stairwell. Normally this wouldn't be a problem since the only time one would use this would be to take out the garbage or recycling. However, then came springtime, and the back stairwell was where I kept my bike. And their compost heap collection increased to about three garbage cans. Again, not that big of a deal, I'm only in the stairwell for 45 seconds at a time at most. Then, their compost heap collection got to the point where it took over the entire second landing, and our place is on the very top. So I left them a note (nobody was home and I don't know their phone number), asking them to at least make a path. I don't think I was very rude about it.

They responded by calling our property manager and claiming that I had been blocking their landing with my bike (untrue- my bike was kept on our landing, which they would have no business passing). This struck me as a pretty immature thing to do. While I had the landlord people on the phone, I asked if keeping my bike on the landing was fine, and they confirmed so long as it wasn't a fire hazard. It clearly isn't.

Luckily the lower-level people complained about the compost heap as well, and they were told to keep it outside. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that something that should be kept outside anyways?

iamawake: Just make sure they don't introduce your son to the concept of sea kittens.

<lol pix>

Have you noticed it's really, REALLY hard to understand what most FA's are saying on account of their poor grammar?

What the feck is she going on about?

You can use her stuff if ...you don't use her Angelina Jolie skin to make your own Angelina Jolie?

THE HELL IS THE POINT OF IT THEN?

Jumping on real quick to let Tomato know I added the insane journal account, (I'm dispossessive there too), I'm not secretly Atwat, and I look forward to reading anything posted.

ETA: Also I added a couple of you before I realized that 98% are just in it for this and not actual networking, feel free to ignore any requests from me.

I have no problem with Jfade other than the participation on the "thread".  I would love to know what got deleted.

Finally got an email from Live Journal.  Here it is:

Dear LiveJournal user paleoanth,

It has come to our attention that you have created your account for the sole purpose of harassing another person. As this is a serious violation of LiveJournal's Terms of Service, we have permanently suspended your account. Please be advised that repeated violations of the Terms of Service in this manner could lead to the permanent suspension of all of your LiveJournal accounts.

Atwa strikes! Who else would care?
Didn't you post on your normal account that you've been using for months at least? I call bullshit.

If that is indeed the case, Paleoanth needs to contest that shit. For whatever reason, I was under the impression that the account was created purely to post the PMs.

Yeah, the lj admins don't even bother informing you if the account is young-ish. They'd care less if it were a paid account. Well, they'd at least email you about it.

God goddamn, see what happens when I'm not active in the Sims 2 community for six or so months? All kinds of stuff happens! TSR is going up in flames! And Aikea and Geldyh went freaking free? SAY WHAT. It's like I woke up and it was Sims 2 Christmas/Apocalypse.

That is some nonsense about Tomato's LJ getting its plug pulled. Definitely sketchy.

Xeon_Black or whoever else: I too am interested in seeing what exactly Tomato said that was so risque that a now Russian-dominated blogging site gives a flying fuck.

Eh, this may be apples and oranges, but I was always in love with Earthbound and Chrono Trigger. Very few games have even come close in enjoyment.

Holy Shit! YAY ALYOSHA! Freaking, kudos.

So that's one FA down, how many are left?

iadnif, love the high cheekbones! And the almond shape of her electrocuted lime eyes. She's beautiful. She is totally the 2008 face for Carla Niven.

Jessica, damn. What a freaking douchenozzle.

I like how he's all, "but i iz nt moochin, promiz!" and goes around to every well-meaning free host, doing just that for his fucking payfiles. I remember somebody mentioning that he was rejected at TSR, but it's like... you can set up over there, free!- and if he sucks enough verbal cock, he can probably get a spot as an FA in a few months*. I just don't understand why he keeps making the same mistake. Over and over.

And then coming back to you & Nouk after how much a dick he was.

* NOTE: Not that I condone him heading over there, I'd just rather he stick to his own money-hungry kind and leave the hosts that just want to support the free community alone.

Just thought I'd throw in some additional post-noanikko-drama news. Apparently not long after this he created http://www.nikkolaisims.co.nr. Due to being rejected from Nouk's free hosting, he went to http://www.s2chost.info. Of course, they don't allow pay items either, so he got tossed out.

From his latest site:

Quote
SITE SUSPENDED

This site is currently suspended due to an infraction of the S2CHost Terms of Service. Please contact S2CHost for more information.

Sincerely,
~BV~ / Neal
-Owner of S2CHost-

& in the first paragraph of s2chost.info, we have:

Quote
S2CHost is a site that hosts free Sims 2 fansites for FREE! As long is your Sims 2 site is free, you get free hosting! To get the hosting, click 'Hosting' on the navbar to the left.

...and remember, Sims 2 content is meant to be free!

Some people just don't ever fecking learn. Maybe he wouldn't suffer demonizing if he didn't go to sites that specifically require 100% free content to host his paysite. Tool.

I figured somebody out there would be interested in an epilogue. Killmark, mayhaps?

I don't even care what hair it is anymore, as long as I have him in my game all is well.

I remember Tristan's annoying and pathetically messy old hair. That was the hair that my friend got screamed at by all of her lackies for using on her musician. She didn't even know what DP was. She didn't even ask them to stop, and since then, I think, was when she took the original hair down and said she was 'unstable' about the whole thing.

Not that I'd liked her to begin with, but with her first and final personal impression? Well, I have never liked her since, either.

First off, lol @ the fact that my horror story with Aikea had already been posted by my old friend from middle school. Fail me.

Second off, I've now got Emily, Jacob and Tristan, thanks to you all. I am looking for James, the drummer (whose name escapes me) & Mary. Maybe even Deanna, but I think she came out after BeautyScars had her falling out with crazy ol' Aikea. So if anyone has any idea, definitely let me know.

If not, I'll just make my own from scratch. but since I like making my sims look.. not like little Aikea clones, I'd rather not let it get to that point.

(I am working on a parody!)

I likes potheads, related to quite a few of them!

Oh me too but I do not like this pothead that we are talking about. I also agree that it is not good advertisement to have a potleaf above your bed on your site for minors that are downloading all the time. Anyhow I was just saying maybe that is the reason for the mushroom hair...unless she was high on shrooms too at the time and it made her think of mushrooms.

So! Not that I have any, um, actual knowledge of these "mushrooms" you speak of...

>.>

BUT if that Crazy McInsaneson does mushrooms while designing her hair, it would seriously explain a whole fracking lot. (For instance, her inability to tell the difference between blue/purple and black. Or magenta from natural red.)
