Hehe, you're nuts Tap!
It's okay, I don't mind. I was just frustrated that Gayle was making me a nice alarm, and I felt that it snuck up on me since I was only using the computer at work. (I have one at work, I also share with a co-worker), not to say I was frustrated at HER, but at my circumstances, I wanted to thank her as quickly as I could, and be involved a bit more. You know what it's like Smiley
I don't take offence or anything about the sharing comment, it's all cool.

Man it's so hot today, and I fell ill over night. I think I ate something bad. I can't even sit in front of the computer for much longer (It's been about 2 hours and I keep having to leave)
Trust me to be sick, on a hot day, on the day that BF said "Have the computer today babe, I am going to read when I get home. Catch up on my comics"
MAN.  Angry Now I have to go lie down. /End of bitchin'

Thanks everyone for the alarm help!  Kiss

I will never understand how two adults can live together with only one computer between them.
I'm drawing a blank on this one, I'd hate to have to share a computer with anyone, it just cannot be done.

Well, we just don't make that much money to be able to construct another computer atm. We need a new bed, so we are saving up for that. It's okay, I don't really mind. Well,  I do mind a little, the fact he can be a bit selfish about the time he spends on it, but that's only because we have been having people around since Christmas and he blames me for that  Cheesy So he grabs all quiet times with the computer or me. Either way, I just get to sit and do other things. I do have a laptop but my sister is using it, because she's going back to Uni and her own died. We've been sharing a desktop since 2001, it can be done and usually it's not a problem. Smiley

I also want to say thank you for the "Woodcutter's alarms" they are so cute and I hadn't seen them before!

Cheesy

I wouldn't even arr it because in an article a few months back it said that how the in game ads will be set up, even if you didn't buy the game and have an arred version of the game, EA would still get money from the ads. So in the long run you would be helping EA by getting an arred version.

Yup, I thought so too. Hence I won't even Arr it. I despise ads in games, and wish to snail mail a letter of complaint to EA (I think it's a great idea Darqs). But to headquaters (are they in the US?) or to my country's division? (EA ASIA, I am from Australia)

I am so busy sending myself emails with these bookmarks from work!  Cheesy
I also love just plain clear glasses. I remember being so desperate for glasses that I would grab some pay from TSR and they would just butcher the Sim wearing it next time I would reload the game.
You know what I mean, those weird blue glitches where the glasses would be either floating or cutting into the sim. Eech.
I am so happy I have free awesome ones to try! Thanks LifeofPi! (may I call you Pi?)  Kiss

Okay. I officially hate Fables! BF has been re-playing it and has hogged the computer most nights, leaving me to my reading and wii playing. And I only get a couple of minutes here and there to check this forum and it's not fair!
Yes they are more than okay Gayle, they are super awesome! The minute I get home I am so nabbing them! Cheesy
*iz at horrid work* Thank you so much! Have some rum!

Cala, I design mostly 1950's - 1970's style houses, I love retro stuff. I might *shyly* show you guys some of the houses, with the new burgular alarm! I love the fact that it is in simlish! Heh.
It's so nice to have some variety isn't it? Oh and pickles, I love atomic stuff too! It adds the coolest touch  Grin

I guess you are right Neriana, that just because someone did not look up something specific does not make them a bad or a stupid person. I understand that. But there are people out there that want to learn not because they are smart, but because they are curious about their feelings of compassion that are stirred up when you show them mass graves, shot children and the like. Human beings do love each other in some respect, we have to. And it's not like I'm saying that that feeling is dead, it just seems less nurtured, or maybe I'm being a stick in the mud because I seem to want to reflect, while other people just don't want to hear it. It's too depressing. So I was entertaining the idea, that if noone wants to face it, and indeed bury such feelings, does it make it more likely to happen? over and over again? I guess I am afraid of the alienation and the fear, that I am seeing manifested from everyone these days, young and old alike.

Kiss I don't mind if we continue to talk about free Sim stuff, BF is letting me FINALLY have the computer back on Monday, and I am going to play! Yay!

A lot of women think that ALL men like that skind of underwear (thongs, crotchless panties etc) while that is NOT the case. My BF loves the more modest dramatic underwear, like black lace negligee's and anything that accentuates rather than reveals. Considering he loves Hammer Horror films, you know he is a big fan of the push up bra, and the lacey cleaveage!  Cheesy

Heh. I am so happy he has no interest in this forum, or else I would be in big trouble! Heh  Tongue

A side note, I love history and enjoy nothing more than watching old footage or documentaries.  I believe it is vital that we understand humanity's mistakes and triumphs. It is the only way we can teach tolerance and understanding, and perhaps with such knowledge we can stop "history repeating itself". However having said that, there is little ethusiasm shown about topics like the history of the Israeli/Palestine conflict, the persectution of Jews, or even about the dangers of dictatorship/fundementalism. We seem to be throwing all of these things under the rug, well maybe a large majority of human kind will look back, but I don't know..to me it does seem that history is indeed repeating itself.

I guess it's like this, I was watching on You Tube "Dear Kitty: Remembering Anne Frank" which is a short documentary about Miep Gies, one of the Frank families aids, who helped them hide from the Nazis in WW2 Holland. And one of the comments that made me think said: "1,750,671 views paris hilton stars are blind, 1,598 views "Dear Kitty" Remembering Anne Frank. i'm not sure what to make of it but it's sad"

I don't mean to be preachy or anything, but I too am sad, that such education is falling into the gutter. Does nobody care anymore on what happened? I do Sad

About Simsky's Multi alarm: Hmm but that's also a Maxis thing. I don't mind having a smoke alarm act as both, but they look horribly out of place in a lot of my houses. It's a maxis thing, I use so much CC that Maxis made stuff really sticks out like a sore thumb. Cheesy

Tapthatbooty: I am sure you can use quite a few cheats to "layer" paintings over burglar alarms, but that's not really what I am after. Bah don't worry about it guys. I have looked all over the web, and it's an item that it's limited in choice because most people don't care about stupid details like that. However it HAS been awhile since I've been on a downloading spree, (apart from checking the item threads on here) so they may be newer developments, but I doubt it. Prove me wrong people, prove me wrong! Tongue

I need some time off to bum around and play some games. I feel like I haven't taken a holiday forever. I miss my Sims Sad

lol, yup, Buffy fans are one of a kind! I love how every one of you guys claim to be THE Buffy fan haha. I've seen very interesting fights due to that claim, heh.
Don't take that the wrong way, I have no negative feelings towards the show, considering I only watched half an episode and have never read any of the comics. Smiley It just doesn't interest me.

I also adore Chen's work, it's very lovely, but I do not feel anything towards them, not like James Jean, my favourite cover artist of all time. I have all his art books, and my fridge is covered with his postcards and drawings.
I found some of the postcards online

Google him, he is a genius!

Chen is nice too, I always stare at this particular cover of Runaways:

But I think it's because I really liked the Runways series (I stopped reading it when Joss Whedon began writing it, only because I was collecting other things, I will pick it up later) and because I really like Chase, he's an awesome character Smiley

Heh. I take it TapThatBooty reads the Buffy comics?
I like how you changed Willow into a vampire in the last one Smiley  If anyone wants to see the original Chen cover, here it is.

I actually love the Buffy comics for the Buffy fans, I have never ever seen grown people get so upset to the point of tears if they miss an issue. I once got offered $560 bucks to make one "magically appear" after it had sold out. Damn my lack of magical powers!  Cheesy

She was totally irrational of course, she was just upset and didn't really mean it. Tongue
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Photoshop shopped! on: 2009 January 06, 00:14:29
heh. I'm also guilty of using it over and over again. I keep meaning to make period houses, but that set keeps dragging me to the modern age.
But as much as I love the fact that she keeps adding to the set and improving it, I hope she just finishes it already. That way she can make new room sets. I know this makes me the greediest, most ungratefullest fan ever. //hangs head in shame//

Cheesy I don't go that far, but I always do wonder when she will release something more desperately needed, like more freakin' burglar alarms! I only have the default maxis one because I have yet to find an awesome one for my houses. Does that make me picky or what? *also hangs head in shame*

Let's drown our sorrows in rum Tongue

Yeah Law And Media Programme...

I don't know what it is, Dot is batshit insane anyways. It could literally mean anything.  Cheesy
