I love tiny font.  It's good for the soul.  And it cures tonsillitis!

Ensign EO, you're evil! LOL! You know how many times I had to CTRL Scroll to read what you typed? Then when I went to quote you, I saw what it said and felt like a complete and total noob.  Cheesy

You could always just copy the text and paste it in the address bar to make it easier. Smiley

Oh and please forgive me for editing your text to make it more grammatically correct; I think I've finally hit my breaking point and cannot stand to even quote mangled posts. Smiley

Let's not forget the time Delphy squeezed Kathy and Insim for hundreds of dollars to do a tar -cof and a mysqldump. TWO COMMANDS. The guy demanded HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS to do TWO COMMANDS.

 :shock:  Did they actually pay it?!

nm it's working now...

don't know why it wasn't before *shrugs*

I also had that problem because I was logged out. Once I re-logged in, I got the Unauthorized Page message, but when I clicked on the link again I got in just fine. *shrugs* No big deal.

Something about that outfit scares me greatly  :shock:

Ugh...I despise any outfit that features talons like that. It just turns me right off.

I HAVE to watch that YT vid when I get home...

It's nothing great. The video quality isn't the best, and you can audibly hear him clicking on the InSimenator during the whole thing.

Well, if anyone's interested in giving him a piece of their mind, here is the YouTube video he uploaded in an attempt to sell it.

I get how this works here.  If they own a paysite, desecrate their character with all your might.  But anyone supposedly on the other side you must ass kiss 'til you know what they had for dinner.

That was quite impressive how you attempted to put words into my mouth like that. Unfortunately, no one's going to fall for your little bile-infested tactic.

Inge is a fecking hypocrite.  I remember she was on N99 whining about closing her site last year because all these people in the community set themselves up as prefects and were demanding things from her.  It is just a hobby for her, and they make it unfun.  :cry:   Then she's on this antipaysite bandwagon mooing and lowing about how paysites are wrong and she's going to make the paysites do things her way, dammit.  Even being  against paysites, the irony is rather killing, isn't it?

Errr, even if that were true the way you said it, how is that hypocritical? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it does.

Here's a newsflash for you, Mary_Read: creators, be they free or pay, are not required to continue to create hacks and/or items for anyone at all. One is not locked into a term of service for Sims 2 creations once they've made a few really awesome hacks/items. If Inge wanted to quit creating, that was her choice, and she needed no one's permission (least of all yours) to do so.

Quitting being a creator does not mean that one gives up their right to have a strong opinion about the issues that revolve around the game. You seriously need to grow the hell up. You're sounding extremely petty, bratty and immature.
40  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Another good Free Site has left...A little help? on: 2007 March 12, 01:15:26
Actually, as it turns out, the mesh was from a completely different site, DJSims. I was pointed in that direction by someone from The Sims 2 Communnity (le gasp!). Thanks for the advice though.

Although I still say that it's a shame that a free site such as Sims Guys has closed down, even if it is only temporarily.

Yes, I know (hope?) he'll be back, but I was hoping that someone out there might have the mesh that I'm looking for so I wouldn't have to wait for an indeterminate amount of time to get my Sim working properly again.

And I checked the packaged Sim, and no, the mesh is not included since I don't have Pets. Sad

Lamentably, I just discovered that Sim Guys has apparently closed down. This makes me very sad, as they had a lot of good clothes specifically for the male sim. This also distresses me mightily, since I had a bit of a problem with my game and my Downloads folder has been wiped clean. I am quite desperate to retrieve a mesh that I had downloaded from there if anyone can help me out. Here is a picture of what the mesh/clothing looks like:

I fortunately had the sense to package up my favorite Sim that I've created on my own, but I need to track down the meshes for him, and the clothes mesh is the only one that I seem to have a problem getting a hold of. If anyone could help me recover this mesh, I would be eternally grateful.  Cool

ETA: Oh, damn it. I posted in the wrong forum, didn't I? *smacks self silly* Sorry about that. If PirateBooty would like to move this thread into the Arr? forum, that'd be great. Sorry about that. Apparently I can't multitask too well. Sad
43  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / TSR vs PMBD - who are the bad guys? on: 2007 March 07, 00:08:19
Quote from: "sherrie_sim"
The general rule of TSR now is please anita and your ok, displease anita in anyway will prompt lies to be sent to Thomas and will result in deletion of your site or account there. no warning given.

But not, I'd like to point out, deletion of your own creations that you'd uploaded there.   :roll:  If they really wanted to disavow all knowledge of you, they'd remove all evidence of your ever having been there in the first place, which I think would be a very good thing, but God knows they can't have that; TSR is like a black hole that sucks in any and every little innocent piece of matter that happens to float by and refuses to relinquish it, even if the universe were to explode.

I'm sorry to hear about how you were jerked around, Sherrie, and I hope that your own site runs much better. Smiley
44  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / I Hate N00bs. on: 2007 February 04, 01:12:47
Does everyone understand the difference between a n00b and a newb? They're most definitely not the same thing. Hyperkitty has perfectly demonstrated n00b behavior (immature ranting, cursing (like the big girls do!) and random references to an unpopular person in order to incite rage), whereas an innocent newb is just someone that's merely new to a forum (which Hyperkitty is not).

Newb =Okay
n00b = Not okay.

Also, I suggest people be mindful to see that the site owners aren't 'withholding'* items until the two month period is up. I wouldn't put it past some people to claim that they didn't get enough donations and are being 'forced' to go back to being a pay site and only then releasing their new items. Despite the fact that there's really nothing wrong with that, it smacks of manipulation to me, and I wouldn't donate to a place like that solely out of principle.

*And by withholding, I mean posting pictures of items that they've already finished but are not releasing until they find out if their 'voluntary donation scheme' is going to work for them.
