Cool university lots?! Awesome!

Seriously, it's something I couldn't find anywhere and I am so fed up with Maxis dorms.

Signed as well. I think those comments should be made as public as possible, so that when another paysite owner/person shows up with the excuse that what they're doing is legal, they can be shown the light at the click of a button Wink

Woot! Thank you! My Photoshop's gonna burst with all my brushes but what the heck  Shocked

Truthfully I'm not even sure MTS allows people to update anything not sim related. I could be wrong though, I rarely upload there at all. But they are great as a creator resource. "Smiley
5  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / EAxis even more bossy with mesh creators? on: 2007 May 16, 00:33:14
That person is doing something wrong. I have Seasons and can remove anything from my sims2pack files, including meshes.

Rickets, I would really like to have those! Lip textures are rather annoying to make, and I like personalizing my sims.  Smiley

That she's making waaaay too much money out of that site.

Ah yes, and paysites are evil of course.

Rofl, I just got a funny mental image of Pescado guffawing at a squirming, screaming toddler who broke his toy

But seriously, bad choices are part of life. Nothing teaches survival skills better than taking responsability for your actions and not doing something "because mommy/daddy said so". Not jumping off a cliff because it'll kill you is a good reason; "mommy said so" isn't. Guidance only goes to a certain point. While I'm not as drastic as Pescado, I hate hate parents who coddle (is that the word? English sometimes annoys me) and over-protect their children.

Mmm hair!

Berg - while you're right, I wouldn't have much use for it except for stories since I don't play historical 'hoods, the mesh is pretty good for a newb...hell the only thing I could probably come up with is a steaming pile of poo  Tongue  The top is better done than the hanging err curls, in my opinion.

Nouk - yay men hair! I'd use, black of course and maybe streaked (as you know I like retexturing your hairs ) ...it's different than the usual emo hair, maybe a little...straight? that fringe must've been imbued with hairgel :p In sort I like, though I still hanker for some non-emo cute guy styles

Yeah my mother had this "abstinence or death, your choice my dear" attitude (not because of religion, but because she couldn't bear the thought I suppose). It accomplished one thing only: that it made damn sure she had no idea what I was actually doing (and it wasn't actually having sex, I waited some time for that) but just made sure I was supremely secretive about my life, and that I left the house as soon as I could. Personally, I'd rather teach children (once they're old enough) about the perks and dangers alike and let them make their own choices, because ultimately it boils down to that: having enough information to make the right choice for yourself. I think a lot of parents have this attitude because they're terrified of the idea that their kids might make a bad choice -as if that's avoidable in life.

Ohh doodyheads...teh horror! Though I have seen the lawsuit threat...and more than once.

I guess TOS are part of their attempts to stop people from stealing their stuff. It *has* worked in some cases, when tons of people ganged up on the offender until they gave in to the pressure and removed whatever they were supposed to be stealing. Like in the Enayla/Chriko case. It has a bigger impact on the masses' minds if they see "you cannot redistribute, reuse, blah blah" as opposed to an ambiguous blank space. In my opinion, it goes without saying that when someone makes something, you don't just copy it and claim it as your own. But yeah...if someone is more stubborn than you, there's little you can do except whine, or, better, ignore it and move on. Chances are someone else will recognize it and give the person a hard time (like the one who PMed me about something I made uploaded to the exchange ending with OMGz how awfull I'm sorry!111oneoneone. I thanked them, had a look, saw that my name was still there somewhere and left it at that, because frankly, the exchange is one thing I won't be bothered with. Too much stuff, too little moderation =too big a headache to be worthwhile) I wouldn't particularly like someone claiming something of mine as their own but, honestly, I wouldn't exactly loose sleep over it either.
For me, TOS are just good ways of letting people know what you do allow: meshes included, textures reworked or not, stuff included with sims and so on. When I get to the "you need my permission to recolor or upload ANYWHERE, bow down and kiss my ring" part, I know that's one creator whose meshes I won't be using.

Looking good Sherrie!

Here's another MTS2 creator who allows her meshes to be redistributed with credit (note that the main page TOS apply to her actual clothes being redistributed with sims, not meshes). The Mesh TOS can be found here

I've used her stuff before, she makes nice alpha bottoms. Smiley

Sweet, that's gonna help me a lot. I recolor much more than I mesh, and I hate hunting for the darn things.

Liegen - well, to be honest I wholeheartedly agree with this modified policy. I myself prefer not to intentionally break the (reasonable) TOS of free, available creators if I can help it, only because I like my TOS to be respected as well, even though they're practically nonexistant    but meh. I do however have no problem with including meshes from the rest of the people who make it extra difficult to track down their stuff. Especially people with vanishing sites, uploads, notorious dramawhores, people who will restrict my freedom of where I upload ANY recolors I make, meshes included or not, and so on (because that's just ridiculous. Even moreso when I do ask permission and my PMs get ignored).
So I think this is a good middle ground. Smiley

sherrie - that's a good idea, you can definitely include Noukiesims in it. I allow mesh distribution, I think Nouk does too. Smiley

Now I can definitely see why everyone's so jealous of her weave! That hair's weavetastic!
