And I see Emma's at least a lurker here as well...*waves hi to Emma*.  What's the point of that anyway? Denimjo is not taking those thoughts to that thread, she's leaving them here, and is handling the debate there quite well and upholding everything you've asked of her.  Not that she needs any defense, but damn, you've got balls cross-quoting.  As a mod there, I would expect YOU to act with grace and dignity, and if you had a problem with what she is doing on YOUR board, to handle it as such.  She's not doing a damn thing wrong on YOUR precious board within YOUR guidelines.

What a FINE example of how to treat another member of your community that you are setting for your 13 year old and younger members with the way you are acting with that particular post.  /end sarcasm

As to who wants to consult a dictionary when they don't know a word *raises hand in the affirmative* I do.  Heck everyone I know does that.  If you aren't doing that, you are not exercising your mind and expanding your vocabulary, you are choosing to live in ignorance, you are choosing to be lazy, plain and simple.  With sites such as dictionary.com, answers.com, or with a browser such as Firefox, there's no reason whatsoever not to lookup whatever word you are unfamiliar with in less time than it takes to go grab a drink from the refrigerator these days!

Are Oreos even edible to humans?

I believe they have a shelf life just shy of a Twinkie...so if you want to preserve yourself, I'd say heck yeah have several Tongue

*sends jesserocket proper packages of Oreos and scoffs at the thought of a paultry 4(!) cookies in one package.  There ought to be a law against that!*

Best idea since sliced Oreos.

Dammit did you have to bring up the Oreos???

*runs off to the store for an Oreo fix*

However that doesn't prevent them from moving on somewhere else and sharing the information on another site *coughthesimsvaultcough*

Where there's a will, there's a way, and it's naiive of anyone to think that just because they stopped doing it at one place, doesn't mean they won't find another place to continue to share information about filesharers.

Excellent reminder to us all to be vigilant against them, and to CYA.

What jerks to treat her that way!  They all ought to walk the plank!

I do hope she finds her way to the booty.  Much easier than wading thru the exchange any day of the week! Arrrrrrr!

Yeah, I think it's been said time and time again, and yet it is still worth repeating, MTS2 is not the place you want to go to give an honest opinion that extends beyond "Thanks, this is great!"

Heaven help you if you actually give an honest critique there!

Nope, I won't download from home, either.  As for stealing from my boss, I'm blessed enough that I don't have to engage in "busy work".  Once my work is done, I can goof off, but I still have to be here until 4:30.  So.

Well glad we cleared the downloading issue then, you should have said so from the beginning.

You are stealing, both money and time, doesn't matter what label you try to sugarcoat it with.  You certainly aren't working, you've admitted that.  You're sitting there on your ass not trying to do a damn thing to better the company that you're working for.

You are taking advantage of the situation and coming here instead and telling all of us how we are "stealing".

Ironic, isn't it?

You don't see "goofing off" as "stealing" anymore than any of us see sharing files as "stealing".   Whereas you see "goofing off" as something your boss probably told you it was okay to do, we see file-sharing as something Maxis/EA told us it was okay to do.

It's all in how you perceive the situation...

Nope.  I looked at the sites that were up for grabs, but I haven't downloaded the first thing.  Of course, this is my work computer, not my home one, so you only have my word on that, but hey :-)

Henceforth you are implying by stating that because you are at work, and cannot or will not download at work, that you will not download there, but should you be at home, hey anything's fair game and you would download were you at home.

And of course by all means it is okay to waste your company's time and money on this forum debating this issue...lol.  You are in essence STEALING their money by not doing whatever it is they pay you to actually do.  Certainly you cannot tell me that they pay you to sit there and debate this issue.

So in your eyes I see that stealing in some instances is okay...

What, if avic has been the latest hypocrit to come in here, someone who wants to argue against PMBD while dipping his/her grubby little fingers in the booty at the same time? lol

Speak your piece avic, yay or nay, JM will find you out either way...are you a hypocrit?
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Rose Sims and Paypal on: 2006 November 13, 14:59:59
Boo-hoo lost her guestbook - let's all cry for Rose over that one.  It's not like she couldn't delete all the entries out of her guestbook and start it up again.

Actually losing a lot of the entries in her guestbook (not all of them, but a lot of them) pointing to her wrong doing is a bad thing for future buyers.  To that end, I wish the guestbook feature would come back.  But we know that won't happen, she knows it would get flooded again with those sorts of messages.

And it's not like she can't go on collecting money via paypal.

Her model of operation hasn't changed, has it?  She's still a paysite, no?  And  from the looks of it, it would appear she has no plans to change that.
11  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Rose Sims and Paypal on: 2006 November 13, 14:30:08
So, what, Rose just changes the way she sees what she gets from paypal and that's it?

Somehow that isn't the outcome I was expecting out of all of this...

Someone bought her meshes?  I know they are only like a dollar but still, click a a box and a cylinder, play for 10 minutes and you'll pretty much have it for free.

My thoughts exactly.  It takes not a genius to learn how to mesh.  It takes the desire to learn, the ability to learn, and the right tools to mesh.  It isn't a huge big bloody secret society that only a few select people are allowed in.  Anyone with those three things can get off their rear end and do it if they want to bad enough.  It then takes time and effort to become exceptionally good at it, which from what I have seen she is a far far cry from becoming.

Thanks for the translation.  Whoa, someone seems a little bit peeved, eh?

And wouldn't Mr. Ruger and Mr. Remington along with Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson love to join in the party.  Wouldn't be the same without them.

Whoa, anyone care to translate that garbage?
