I'm on Seamonkey, and the new layout doesn't even work for me.  It's a mess!!

Dude, that's the height of egotism to put the name of your collection all over the clothes in question.  Never mind that even Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vitton stick to putting their stylised *initials* on things, so, you know, they don't look like giant ugly tags, shopping bags or wrapping paper.  And even then sometimes that doesn't work.  And they're people that have been to schools to learn this shit!

Don't try it, Evi!  And God, she should just drop the evucci thing.  It's painful.

Oh, it's working now!

Oooh, denim top as semi-formal?  Claaassy!  Lips sealed

And also, how does argyle (the A&F outfit) look athletic at all?

The same way sparkly high heels and thigh-high stockings do, I guess.

Clearly, these people have never had to dance in sparkly heels and stockings before.  I did, for the predictable reason of being in a Rocky Cast in my misspent early twenties and believe me, even if you're wearing the 'stay up on my own with the help of rubber!' ones, it itches and shifts like a bitch.

I'm not even going to mention what that kind of malarkey does to your feet.

Yeah, I would probably not like them if they had makeup. But there are people that do look like that (femenine features and manscaping and all). But it looks more emo-ey than woman-ey. It's stuff with loads of makeup, like this, this and especially this that I really don't like. It looks so odd and weird and quite frankly the last one looks like a drag queen.

Anyway, a little more on topic. The bath set is amazing.

Catching up, quoting from the dark ages, necromancy if you will...

That Poirot was one of my earliest Sims, and without the make-up he looked really pale.  *shrugs*  I would love to take him down from there but TSR are ignoring my requests at the moment.  I might have to step up to something more.  I don't want them having my Doctor sims.

I see nothing, Neriana.

If you still need help with textures, I'll gladly put my name in the hat.  This is the most horrible, wonderful thing I've ever heard of.  LOL!

And sparkly disco wear to work out in? Sequins + hard work and sweat = ouch.

Wow. You are totally right. That might cause blisters!

Shiny, fabulous blisters!

Meshing is about maths, which I excel at.

So THAT'S why I suck. Stupid numbers...

Dude, tell me about it.  I'm great with painting things but horrible with maths.  So a mesher I shall never be, and believe me, I've *tried*.  If I could mesh I would have meshed all the weird outfits for the main characters of Xena by now.  The amount of time I've been stuck on Joxer's helmet is obscene.  YEARS, I tell you.  But I could texture that son-of-a-bitch thing in a night and it'd look fuckin' hot.

I just stick to retro make-up nobody else has made yet.  (Speaking of which, my next project shall be Nina Hagen).

It's the wall-table thing I'm drooling over, where is that from?!

Dina, I'm not seeing a downside to that plan.

Been away for some months and I come back to this madness - holy shit, yo.  It took me days to catch up!!  I'd be entertained if it weren't for the fact that real people are having their privacy compromised!

One point I didn't see made in the discussion about EA snubbing all the good creators and modders for their special Doofus Camp is that if they DO want to cut the talented modders out of the picture, they're really pulling the rug out from underneath themselves.

In between the release of stuff packs, it's the custom content and the community associated with it that not only keeps the game interesting, but keeps the game *functioning*.  These talented modders weren't just a part of a community, they were a part of the game's growth.  How many times have you seen some awesome piece of CC that is emulated later in a stuff pack?  Or a modded behaviour that gets written into the game? (Like teleporting).

If they do decide to make it either impossible or incredibly difficult for people to mod the game, they are paving the way for their own failure.  They don't seem to understand, at all, that it's the free-flowing ideas and the companionship of a close community of people valiantly loyal to their product that made the product so successful in the first place. (I say 'valiant' as look at what the users have to put up with from EA, and we still try to enjoy their products!).  I really can't say much for the Sims 3's chances.  I won't be getting it as it's too much for my computer, and I've already filled this one with my Sims 2 games, and I'm not giving up my families and beloved content for anything.  The new Sims look pretty fug to me, and I heard that it'll be only one family at a time with constant chronology?

To get back on topic (since this thread *was* about TSR's info-sharing habits) I wrote to them and asked them how to delete my account.  I want my custom content (a few sims I made) taken down.  Not that my Sims are anything awesome, none of them are fully skinned or anything, but I hate the thought of my stuff being up there and people assuming I'm all right with the place.  Plus the Doctor is too cool for TSR.  I let them know that I was disgusted with their behaviour and that was the reason why I was leaving.  If I hear back from them, I'll let you all know, though I doubt I will.

See, I'm really uncomfortable about gothing up children.  Teens are fine, but children... I don't think children should ever wear that much make-up.   Dark colour schemes with clothing is one thing, but pale make-up and the eyeliner and the black lipstick - eh.  I mean, I *know* they're not real kids, it's just a computer game, but it just looks creepy to me.

No one wants to go to WA - except to mine stuff. Cheesy

Haha really? A friend of mine moved there, I'm not sure if it's that great. And Perth is in the middle of bloody nowhere!

The city is sprawling and huge, and then there's the whole mining town thing going on all over WA.  It's just so far from everywhere.  My Dad called it the "arsehole of the universe". Cheesy

What a crock.  It's beautiful here!  I went to LA about eight years ago, and when I finally came home after a couple of months, dear God!  Sweet clean air, beautiful green parks, lovely river winding through the middle of the city, and if you drive for fifteen minutes - beautiful white sandy beaches!   It's no bustling metropolis and the shopping is crap compared to the bigger cities, but there's plenty of things to compensate for that here.

It's small, but it's pretty and it's my home.  I love it.

Which one haven't you seen?  I haven't been to WA, NT, or Tas - and will be going to Tas this winter.  Cheesy

I haven't been to WA and SA.

No one wants to go to WA - except to mine stuff. Cheesy

More fool you.  Our beaches are the best!  Cheesy
