Even Jan needs less medication.

PRICELESS. :::applauds::::

We/I, the several coconuts, are jealous because she kissed Tom twice in secret.. so she says, if that were true and it was a secret, then how would we/I know? and why do we/I care what happens in her head? She's also accusing Tom of thinking more about his homelife and the house he is building than he does of her and her situation. That may be the one thing she is right about.

GASP! you mean... even TSR people have LIVES? Wow. Whodathunkit? (I'm glad, actually, that Thomas is showing signs of humanity.)

Anyone have a spare bottle of Obsession to send her?

Coconut,
(and whoever she wants me to be today)

I want you to be Clive Owen. And then I want you to come to my  house. Smiley

The blue one appears to be melding with the sim's skin - "I don't know where you end and I begin' it seems to say.

Eh...a few steps lower than heaven  Roll Eyes ....but nonetheless, we're glad you found us.

And I've got one more question. The front of the house looks really... bland I guess. I'm assuming it's because the entry is off a hallway, but there aren't any windows on the front face (except one I added for the bathroom), and if I put some in it looks funny because they intersect with stairs and stuff. Totally not an issue as far as gameplay (the only dark room is the little computer room upstairs), but since MTS2 requires a screenshot of the house from the street, should I jazz it up a bit, and if so, how? Tack on some pointless windows? Move the palm tree so it fills more of the dead space? Or does it not really look that terrible and I'm just being over-sensitive?

Consider using a cool stone facade on the left front-facing bits - something to break up the look.

ETA: Also, consider using some sort of edging - there are some great ones out there - to 'finish' the flat jutting-out roof bits. MTS2 has several.

I thought, "hey, that's kinda cool." thinking it was a clone or an overlay of the sewing machine from Freetime, until I plopped it in my game. Believe it or not, it's a computer. Had an interesting time when I noticed my sim making a bee-line for it to check her email 45,000 times an hour.

Wait....what?

Didn't Cashcraft already do some Victorian typewriter thingie that is a computer? Why make a computer into a sewing machine when you (a) already have a Victorian "computer" and (b) the sewing machine in the game already looks Victorian? (And what's up with that anyway? My modern sims would rather be zipping along on a modern Singer of Pfaff, thanks, not some clunky old thing that drops stitches.)

Yeah, Chaz doesn't appear to stray far from the same basic face shape. Charming.  I'd love to see a comparison of say, square-faced Kathy Reichs and oval-faced Julia Roberts.

falln, I can't think of a thing you should have done differently; I work with real house plans as well, and sometimes you have to make adjustments for sims, but in general, if they are liveable by humans, they are liveable by sims.

As far as the dummy level, I don't mind it. I've used it before to get the place right, and I think it's not that big a deal. What is it, a double click instead of a single? Anyone who complains about that can go fuck themselves, IMO.

Hmm....maybe someone* should download them, strip them of their CC, and look at the sims themselves.

*other than me, of course

Oh, I forgot about that one! My favorite two episodes have to be Jack Frost and Puma Man. ("I am a wood nymph!")

I keep looking at the rifftrax, but wasn't sure if it was worth it. But on your recommendation, I shall pursue!

And here I thought the Crow Effect was the compulsion to sing the credits. Smiley

I spent too much time trying to figure out how the programming might have worked (the thing kept switching directions the whole time as I was trying to figure it out). I haven't yet...I know there is some optical trick there, but I can't seem to grok it. Meanwhile, she turns to the left, then turns to the right, then turns to the left, then turns to the right....
29  The Pirate Ship / Avast! / Hotlinking on: 2008 July 07, 15:50:48
What is hotlinking?
Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an [img] tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear in your post.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a web site to a user's computer. When you view a web page, you are using that site's bandwidth to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over its monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

When to hotlink at PMBD:
DO hotlink images from paysites. Most paysites either already milk their customers for enough cash to cover it already, or they will go down. This is a win for us and causes butthurt for them.

When NOT to hotlink at PMBD:
DO NOT hotlink images from free sites. Save the pics and upload to image-hosting services such as Photobuck or Image Shack.
