Floating through the net from a friend.

I was looking at a purse and talking to a salesperson. My husband asked me what kind it was because he noticed it was expensive. I told him dooney and bourke, so he yells out in front of the woman "what douchy?"
I really think I almost died, I just walked out laughing.

LOL how embarassing, I think the worst thing that's happened to me recently is tons of people asking me if I have Cancer. I've had my head shaved for 7 years and now all of a sudden in the last month people have been asking that. Which I think is extremely rude especially if I did have cancer. So I guess I just look like crap or something, too stressed out LOL.

This may not be the place but I thought perhaps some of my fellow Pirates could use a laugh.

Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak
Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back...
or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did....

One:
I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, 'How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?'
I turned around and walked back out and never went back.
My husband didn't say a word............he knew better.

Two:
I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me.Without thinking, I looked at him and said, 'I think I like playing with mens balls'

Three:
My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts.
As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help.
I replied, 'No, I'm just looking at your nuts.'
My sister started to laugh hysterically
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away.
To this day,my sister has never let me forget.

Four:
While in line at the bank one afternoon,my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving right now' she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening,
'If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!'
The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow.
The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.

Five:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly.
One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked
my seven-month-old daughter, she was clean. Then realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while.
I asked him if he needed to go, and he said 'No'.
I kept thinking, 'Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me.'
Then I said, 'Danny, are you SURE you didn't h ave an accident?'
'No,' he replied.
I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time, 'Danny did you have an accident ? This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled,
'SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!'
While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down.
An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future,
likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any!
We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't,
turned to the weatherman and asked:
'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'
Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
4  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / A 100% paysite.... on: 2007 May 22, 00:16:13
God that Simsmag Site has disgustingly crappy Items. I have seen much better stuff made by 13 year old kids. I have noticed Alice fashion has removed all their free stuff. They say it will be back soon but come on do we trust Paysites?

A problem I just started having because I've never had Grizzelda clothing until a few days ago. When I went in to make a fat sim some of the default clothes turned into materity clothes instead of just being for fat sims. The sim was just as skinny as normal but with a huge gut, and they were Maxis clothes being affected by this. Now I just have to hope I got all the Grizzelda crap out and my sims won't look pregnant.

i'm not sure which of her clothes you're talking about but i have tons of her clothing (and recolors of them) and none of them have done what you're talking about. So maybe you have something in there thats conflicting with it. Like the wear anything while pregnant hack or whatever?

The only new thing I put in on the day it started was Grizzelda's clothes from TSR. I don't have any hacks except Insim and I know that is not causing the problem.  I know all to well from Sims 1 that some items that cause major trouble for some people have no effect on others. All I know is that after I started using her clothes from TSR my fat sims looked pregnant in default clothes or clothes that don't use a mesh. Perhaps the trouble lies in how different computer styles might play them.

7  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / New paysite threatening to open on: 2007 May 19, 21:39:12
I see there's still no Members section, but I do like some of the eyes in the free section. I hope they look as cool in the game and weren't altered by Photoshop or PSP. I'm so glad you can download the eyes you want and not have to get the whole set. Let's end the Twelveness it's giving me a headache.

Why am I surprised, though? If people are unapologetic about charging money for pixels, they probably lack the ethics to resist electronic tampering.

Finally someone who understands that Pay Items and all the rest are not even a Physical thing you can even touch. They are just pixels, pieces of computer coded pixels. Thanks for saying what I've been saying about this stuff for years. Don't get me wrong I love the Booty and I don't even want to see the log of things I've DL'd because the list is huge.

I love a good Booty!

I also got rid of all the stuff that poke through the walls. (Vitasims, Reflex.) Some of them stick out so much, they're even visible in Neighborhood view.

Damn seriously from the neighborhood?? Thats really screwed up.
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Beautiful on: 2007 March 26, 22:36:04
The site looks Great and the objects look beautiful. I'm very glad you got away from TSR but feel sad that they treat people that way. I have never posted in their forums or PM'd anyone there I only snoop around at new items occasionally.

Where did you get the inspiration for the Coke Objects?
They look like they came straight out of our Coca Cola Classic Cafe.
I live in Wisconsin and we used to go there when I was like 12 but I haven't been there for years now I don't even know if it's still there.

WTG on the site I hope all works out for you.
11  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Carla on: 2007 March 26, 21:50:36
Is her stuff worse than Carla's? I get a Server  not found error.
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Sad on: 2007 March 26, 21:16:58
Their objects are pretty yucky for TS2 I had the Weather Machine for one day and it screwed up my game. I also had the COL ducks for my ponds before Seasons but I like the Pet Friend Candles.
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Yup on: 2007 March 26, 18:17:37
I had problems with Pandora's Table too

I also have problems with objects from Reflex going through walls or not looking right at all.

You basically have to have a huge bathroom for any of the tubs to look right because they have to be in the middle of the room so they don't poke through walls.
14  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Yuck on: 2007 March 26, 17:58:10
How the heck did they become FA's now their stuff is not that great. I haven't found even one thing I think is worth the time to download (Which would only take about 4 seconds anyway)

How sad!
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Yikes on: 2007 March 26, 17:49:02
Apparently she was real bad with lighting too not just charging for stuff that should be free.
I went to the Sims2Graveyard to see what they had and Teen 71 and 72 which are near the bottom of the page sure seem to have facial hair.

She really sucked with lighting it's bad enough all the women in my neighborhood have more facial hair than the men I don't need to see Hairy Sim chicks too. Yeeeuck!
