766  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / A question/suggestion to the moderators on: 2007 February 02, 20:09:02
Wow, in only five pages this thread went from "Protect the Children" to "Women over 30 are insane" including a parade of said children and women.  Never have I been more glad that I am ineligible to be included in either group. :p
767  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / And again.. new paysite. on: 2007 February 02, 20:01:08
I'm surprised by the response of the quality of the downloads.. ranging from "pure shit" to "worth downloading if free".  Clearly we need a quality filter to save some people from themselves!

Those that make threads like this are n00bs in denial. ;p

Call me weird but the one thing I really want is an in game capability to change shoes on my Sim. Just the shoes separate from the outfit.

I hear you Petunia!  I scream from the "roof tops" of mts2 irc chat about that.. a lot.  XD  Shoes are one of the biggest pet peeves I have from both EA Maxis and custom content creators.  So many downloads I have to change (sometimes moving the texture onto a new mesh!) to have suitable shoes.

As for new expansion pack ideas..  I want apartments.  I want old folks' homes!  I want mental wards!  Cheesy

Zatanna had a habit of responding to every post and more often than not it was complete fluff.  It did not advance or enhance the thread whatsoever.  It might as well of been just "lol" but she managed to make the fluff posts more wordy than that.

ETA:  She had nearly 300 posts in only 13 days since joining.  You can imagine how many of those were quality posts.

Involving yourself in the community is nice but spamming is only a detriment to your "rep gaining" as it were by posting.  By spamming you're not letting others get to know who you are.

Most of what was deleted was pretty much irc fodder without the irc channel.  It had zero revelancy in regards to what PMBD is trying to accomplish.

They have lives and are actually doing something productive?

That being made clear, we are able to be straightfoward and honest here w/o worry of being maligned for being "OMG SO MEAN AND NASTY I CANT BELIEVE YOU DONT THINK IM THE GREATEST PERSON EVER!!!!!111"  I for one am sick and tired of the relentless asskissing and sappy sweetness that seems quite common on other message boards.  Too bad Elau isn't around for me to use as an example.

There is a middle ground between the asskissing and just being assholes.  We can be civil and not call each other names.  If you feel you can't then take your hands off the keyboard.

Unlike most I feel my posts were not spam especially the one where I explained why we "hate" paysites..  I should of saved it.

Hair 5 is cute!  I want it.  ^^  It looks much better than Exnem's similar version.

There was definitely a rollback.  I lost all my posts and even my account!
