She can be found here: http://similik.proboards54.com/

In my opinion, the forum is a little cliquish and a bit 12, but it isn't too terrible Tongue
They are a little obsessed with photoshopping and frankensimming for my taste, but meh. To each his own.

Sometimes I wonder if Atwat is really a pirate secret agent. She has managed to singlehandedly do far more damage to the TSR cause than the rest of us put together. It's mind boggling, really, how good she is at angering and alienating the people that TSR actually needs on their side if they wanted to stay in business.

I'm glad though, because it means that so many people with real talent are leaving TSR and realizing that there is a community out here just waiting to welcome them.

Lets see, I have some.

This ponytail by peggy isn't the worst of her stuff, but it still has a crappy hairline and fugly textures.

Nouk's, on the other hand, is just lovely.

Or how about this one, which gives the sim a weird elongated head?

And once again, Nouk's lovely version:

And it's not just Nouk who can top Peggy's fug. Check out this "chinese" hairstyle by Peggy:

These styles by XM aren't exactly the same as Peggy's, but are just better.

Ok. You are totally overreacting.

First, she never claimed to have made the item, it is simply included with a sim that is available for download. It is common practice to include CC that was made by other creators in a packaged sim. I do agree that she ought to have posted credits for all of the CC that is packaged with her sims, but I don't think it's a reason to call her a thief. I think a polite message to include credit for your item would go a lot farther than posting that she zomg!stole your stuff. Sims communities that are not in English often have their own set of rules for this kind of thing, and it could be that she just didn't realize she needed to post credits for it.

Second, so what if she used your content in a banner for her site? I think it's just stupid to expect people to credit you every single time they use one of your items in a picture. Please check your ego at the door.

Thirdly, that item was bought and paid for from a pay site. You sold it, so she can do what she likes with it. Please don't come to PMBD whining that someone is using content that you illegally sold in a manner that you don't like.

And fourth, Bluewater Sims or whatever may not be my cup of tea stylistically, but Holly and those other girls do create their own items and meshes. If you don't have some solid proof that they are passing off someone else's work as their own, then don't go around accusing people of stealing. Failing to credit you and assuage your ego is not the same thing as thievery.

It usually takes a lot to piss me off, but I must say that you managed it nicely.
21  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Sims 1 Booty on: 2008 July 29, 20:43:16
I think that quite a few people in the sims 2 community do spend the majority of their time downloading, organizing, and editing their downloads, as well as going to forums to talk about the game rather than actually spend a whole lot of time playing it.

Weird, isn't it?
22  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2008 July 29, 09:17:51
Lets see, the skirt from the first "bitch" shirt looks like some attempt at a gothic lolita style skirt on a maxis mesh, probably would have been decent circa 2005-ish. Painted on jewelery is also kind of a throwback, I'm surprised people still do it. I mean, it was kind of cool back before people figured out how to make nice accessory meshes, but now it is just unnecessary.

Perhaps the name "Columbia" is supposed to make us think those are university girls? The outfits wouldn't be terrible if the jewelery was gone, the jackets weren't photoskinned, and the jeans didn't have the crotch of doom. Oh, and if there was a more realistic waist.

ETA: This was posted on GoS by Cynarablade, and I literally have no words to describe how horrendous this is.

Maybe I give Thomass too much credit for being able to find and marry a woman with a decent sense of humor, but if she has any interest in reading her hubby's site then I'm sure she can't be oblivious to Atwat's obsession. I bet she is well aware of the whole thing and thinks it's hilarious that Atwat moons and fawns and clings all over her silly little husband. If it were me, I'd totally keep tabs on the whole imagined affair and all the 'secret' details Atwat breathlessly provides to anyone who will stand still long enough to listen, just to have a good long laugh.

I'm not saying that Thomass is a great catch, or that he has a wife that likes to laugh at poor, delusional, semi-elderly women on the internet, but I'm sure even he isn't retarded enough to leave whatever woman he shacked up with to share a slobber with Atwat.

I think the boobies are an attempt to capture the charm and elegance of a strip club. Everyone knows boobies cause people to spontaneously throw money anyway.
25  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Free site threating to go pay... on: 2008 May 05, 06:11:11
I agree with Snarky on this one, I don't think this is much more than an attempt to get "easy money". What really raised warning bells for me is that they claim to need $20 a month for expenses. This is a non-dynamic site that doesn't get much traffic (I'd assume). My site isn't huge, but I host it and GoS for less than half of that. Either these people have a host that is seriously gouging them, or they are trying to get a little extra money from the site.

I'm not terribly impressed, either. I'm not trying to bash "free creators", but I just don't get the impression that this is a serious free site. The beards posted earlier in this thread were the exact same beard in three different "sets". They don't bother to credit anyone, anywhere for their work. Nearly every page has pay items plastered all over it (which is strange, considering that they claim to be anti-pirate, while simultaneously claiming to be poor. I don't doubt that there is raiding of the booty going on, but why the hypocrisy?). I'm also not keen about their tactics to get money. I've had to ask for donations to help me out in the past, but it never even occurred to me to threaten to go pay or to say I'd release donation items when someone ponied up some cash.  In short, I guess I agree with Paden as well. I'm definitely not biting, they can go back to mts2.

ETA: Oh, I just realized that they host a forum as well. It has a total of 49 users, so that must be what they need the $20 a month for.  Roll Eyes

Aww, it's smilin' at me.

I kind of feel sorry for that lady, I'm sure she would be appalled to find her nudie pics plastered in a sims forum by a retard.

I love my Photoshop. I tried Gimp briefly, I wanted to support a free photoediting program instead of Adobe, which charges way too much for it's products. However, much frustration ensued, and I went back to the evil that is Photoshop.

At least I've recieved all my copies free because of educational licensing Smiley

I'm so much more lazy than you!

I have my snapobjectstogrid set to "s" and "-s"
moveobjects on and off are "m" and "-m"
and allow45degreeangleofrotation is "a" and "-a"

I'm so glad I figured out how to do that. I think I found a more detailed list and a guide on how exactly to do it on MATY, if anyone cares.

Either choice works, though the end table thing may be better for the casual player. Most people who know about things like OMSP and invisible magisplay tables endlessly fiddle with placement anyway, so center or side doesn't matter much to us. We can figure it out, cause we're all the awesome like that.
