It was the typical blabla of GOS hosting copyrighted items everywhere at the forum, especially in once thread.

I guess the thread linked was the TSR request one, but I couldn't get it to load, I guess this was when the site went down.

Mabye he's just pissed of worrying about us filesharers.
He has sent so many emails to people accusing them to share files without proof, this might go on his nerves as well. At TSR he doesn't need to care for the safety of his files himself, also more people will get the files.


For Sims 2 hairs were the most popular files, and TSR promoted nearly every mesher who could do hair to FA, even if the hairs are crap.
With Sims 3 they only have two people who can do halfway decent hairfiles. And most Sims 2 hairmeshers are inactive.
Getting someone like Newsa to TSR will help increase the popularity of TSR again and will help get more subs. So I think that Thomas had a lot to offer that Newsea just couldn't ignore.

Some of the files that were formerly pay are now free, too, so there's at least a bit of a change.
Also no stupid banning crap any more, no hoops to jump through to get the files...

He's absolutely found the right place to upload, should be easier to get hold on the files now, and, as the hairfiles for Sims 3 are now available as Sims3Pack, they should be floating around at the Exchange soon as well...

I'm only waiting for the Sims 2 files to show up at TSR as well before sharing the last file I have uncleaned...

The first names Juice has put up have been there for about half a year now, and you only just recognize that they are up?
The first three names on that list are names from Simscave members Juice caught.

The complete list is hidden at the site that lists all donation items for Sims 2 and 3. For now Juice has collected 11 names, 8 of them caught since Sims 3 was released.

I have no idea how complicated it is to add the EP options to an objects, but isn't it possible to make one version of the fridge that includes options for all or non EPs?
I mean one versions that is compatible with all versions of the game, like Buggybooz' fridge. First there have been several versions available, one for each EP, but they have been exchanged with a one-for-all version... This would be the way I'd prefer it.

About the other objects: I don't think that it is necessary to add the tinker option, I don't see the sense of it anyways. If you are going to make a Seasons version of the trash compactor it would be great.

The funny thing is that this person uploaded another mesh, giving credit to Isselda - who is a crator at Gameisland.ru, a paysite. I cannot find the mesh in question anywhere on their site, but it's in the booty. The paysite is pretty empty, I don't know if they are still active, but as the mesh is at the booty it must have been a pay object. At least I think it's the same, it looks the same on the pics, I don't have time to compare them right now.

This girl is 13 12 so she might not know it any better, but she really needs to learn to read. Maybe the uload of the pay mesh can be used to make tsr remove her creations. A mesh by a rather unknown pay creator might be more convincing than a mesh by a well respected free creator who is known to be part of GOS, a place that freely shares pay items.

I don't like their textures at all, sorry. Only since their Lollipop hair the texture looks decent in my eyes. Of course it's personal opinion, if you think they're better it's fine. I don't know anything about making textures, I just know what I like and what I don't like.

Yes, some newer Peggyzone hairs are not that great, too, but this has something to do with the large number of creators (haven't seen a single gap for more than a year though). There are at least eight different creators responsible for the newer hairsets, but until very recently I haven't noticed that. Have you noticed that? Most likely not, as they just match pretty well. Just imaging one of Yu's hairs would have appeared in line with the other creator's hairs, maybe hair 009 or 014 ... it would not have matched in there.
Now you can still say that this might be a good thing, that their hairs are better and that they don't match in there because of this. But whatever you think, they look different, and that might be a reason why she doesn't use the Peggyzone as her platform to sell her hairs but is using their own site instead.

I first assotiated it with one of the newer hairs at Peggyzone, the one with the long animestyle pigtails, just shorter.

Btw., the hair is not by Juice himself but his girlfriend, Yu, that's why they don't look as "advanced" as Juice's hair at Peggysims do. None of the hairs is by Juice himself.
Maybe Yu is not good enough to be a payed creator at the Peggyzone, so she convinced her boyfriend to open a blog where she could sell her creations, and Juice only adds in some items like makeup and single clothes which aren't good enough or too small in number for a whole Peggysims update... The first hair they had up had a female and a male version, you could buy them for 2$ each I think, now they've made the male version into a gift.

I just thought that the broken mesh must be available somewhere still if Paperbeth still had it and claimed it wasn't fixed yet. I thought she must have re-downloaded it recently to make that statement...

A lot of Rose's free hairs are that flat on top, I just checked because I thought I've seen a female version of it, but there isn't one. Instead there are a lot of shorter hairs for females that are looking similarly square.


I think I found a reason why the haircolors at the Peggyzone are not consistent.
Recently I wondered why the hair with the huge braid on top of the head and the huge ribbon was so off-colored. One look at the filenames showed me a reason.

The way the files are named changed when Peggysims2 was made into the Peggyzone. Since then they (the packages, not the stupid numbering system at the site) are following a scheme which is the same every time.

You can see that labeling is similar each time. Fh and Mh are the gender the hair is made for, the numbers are the date this hair was released. Now it's getting interesting:
The next part of the labeling tells us who the creator of the meshfile is! "J" stands for Juice, Pegy is Pegy. The number behind the letter tells us the number of the mesh by this one creator. This means that this mesh is Juice's 107th, Pegy has made 69 meshes until January this year.
The other ones are by different creators! I don't know who they are, if and where they released their other hairmeshes if they made some before. I just know that they are rather new to the Peggyzone and sometimes even release only one mesh there. (Note: The "P"-person is someone different to Pegy. Bus as s/he is rather new older hairs by Pegy are labeled with "P" as well, only recently she labeled the hairs with her full name).

This should be enough of an explanation why the quality of mesh, texture and colors differes that much. Luckily hairfiles are recolorable...

The fixed mesh is included at my site as well as you can see from the mesh and texture information!
Seems like you have the broken version somewhere in your folder. Just remove it and add the mesh by Thebes (which fixes another problem with the teen texture).
The hair is working fine in my game thanks to her for more than a year already.
Btw, Peggy fixed it herself some weeks after is was released first (it was in her announcements and even made it to the frontpage of her site), but aparently nobody bothered to upload the fixed mesh here.

No personal attack felt here, I just had the feeling that I said the opposite I wanted to say, so I felt the need to correct what I said. I am a member here long enough to know how Calalily thinks about paysites, and I know that we have a different opinion about the use of paysite items, everyone who ever visits my site knows this.

I meant to say that they still release a pay set for free every now and then, but not as often as they promised, with many breaks in between.
This makes me think if they ever are completely free. But they nevertheless are releasing the sets every now and then. They broke the time part of their promise, but they are still putting them up. Of course I'd prefer to see them completely free and finally see them release the remaining 9 sets.


I put up the other sentance up as personal opinion and as small font because I for myself would never think about buying a payset containing clothes or objects when I am only interested in hairfiles. So if someone told me where I could get a file for free which is very similar to a payfile I'd be totally happy if I didn't know about filesharing sites. Maybe that's the mentality of me as a person who calles herself a filesharer, not a pirate...
