I read over the specs, and it seems that the 1 GB is more of a suggestion of how much extra space you should "set aside" for CC storage on the hard drive. Since most hard drives usually have 40+ GB space this isn't all that awful (56GB on my '04 laptop), but if you have an 8GB mini pc, well, your kinda screwed (you wouldn't have a CD drive on one of those anyhow). You won't have to go out and upgrade your memory for this if your at 1GB (unless your at 512 still ). After reading the specs, I am actually looking forward to TS3, as they aren't all that intimidating; basically, what I have now. I feared that it would require the hyped Centrino 2! Just worried about my video card, being an old PC and all. Must Lurk Moar!

As for the TSR pdf.php thing, I won't even visit the site anymore due to ip logging and TSR snooping. You're logged and snooped on regardless if you're logged in or not. That's just too much for me after this whole paypal fiasco. For all I know, they may have my ip's and paypal info ready for when "somethin' suspicious happens." Haven't they started sharing ip's yet? Bridgett, rt? That and they suck. Moar Rum! *Shares*

I wonder how long this thread is gonna be by the time I get home from work tonight. I'll probably be up till 2:30ish reading all the infoz again. I get home LATE, midnight-ish. I'm so tired of the job. I haz WANT 4 normal HOURS!

I leave for a week and, DAMN! This is bull. InSim was not my #1 go-to site, but they housed damn good genetics that I loved in-game. Now, I don't even want to (can't) access the site for the goodies that I need to re-download. I can't wait for Waltergate to be over...

But, killer effort y'all. Hopefully all of the downloads, not just those of the "big" creators, will be secured on a new site before too long.

I haven't seen this addressed while lurking, but what do y'all think will happen with all of the existing Securom infested CDs, if the consumers win the suit. Do y'all think that EA would have to replace all infected CDs with "clean" versions, or that they would just re-release all existing EPs/SPs with "clean" versions? Or will a "Now with Moar Spy!" sticker be a feature on all existing Sims products. Has the law firm stated what they wish to do as far as punishment/repayment yet?

I've been pondering this ever since news of the suit broke.

I joined 6 years ago, back in it's early days, and I lost interest in about a year when all of these noobs started flooding the site due to the LimitedToo exposure (that was '03-ish, during the "Can I haz you pazzword" heyday). I completely forgot about it until 2 weeks ago, when I got this "check out Neopets" e-mail. I too forgot my password. I don't even know what birth date I used, and they require that for log-in verification now. And, get this, I don't know WTF my e-mail was from back then! I tried to get a password reset, but it looks like my pets will just starve and be pox ridden forever.

Sadly, like Druid, my CD drive has been fried. After installing Free Time, my CD drive can only read the Sims disc 1/2 the time, and when it does I'd get a nice little "Insert original The Sims 2: Free Time in drive." Now I get the same deal with AL. Why didn't I find an ARR-ed copy?
