1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: New License agreement, what do you think? on: 2009 May 19, 13:01:22
Perhaps your only success, and it's never going to happen, would be to have a 30 money back return - and the reason that won't happen - piracy.
Although to be honest, I've never heard of anyone trying to pirate games using a money-back return policy.
Ahem. *whistles*
EB have a 7 day return if you don't enjoy a game...

I've finally gotten around to doing my first hair retexture. It's an old Shannara mesh with Nouk textures + 2 other colours.

It's available on Sublime if anyone wants it. I've got a real love of hair, I'm going to Nouk some other old meshes.

paperbeth: I would love to see TSR indicted for fraud or something along those lines. I'm sure they have partaken in enough shady activities to warrant it.

I wonder how many PMBD / MATY get?  We could become More Visitors Than You!

Yeah, she was the one who came in and went mental about recovering a "lost" item from the Ikea pack, even though EAxis had previously said they were happy for simmers to "find" stuff and distribute it a la Numenor. Popular thought at the time was that they were supposed to be released in the sims 2 store, as a rabid BBSer had made a "story" of all the stuff you could buy in game, and it included those lamps.

Awesome. I'm yet to have regular "death to skadi" moments.

In regards to this paysite:
I found it really weird that he had this on his donation page.
Quote
Non fixed amount donators will receive a special gift from us, which will not be available to any other type of donation.
WTF? So there will be "unavailables" as well, and its just random? So, you just keep buying the pack until you get the special?

There is always Carrigon, unless baby roasting is offensive to wiccans.

I second a call for linkage, that would be a really interesting read.

What I don't love is subliminal advertising. Technically it's not even that subliminal.
Since when has EA ever been even remotely subliminal? Unless, of course, the real-world adverts in TS3 is their attempt at doing so.
This reminds me of the Simpsons episode - there is subliminal, liminal, and super-liminal. EA is always super-liminal.

For me the issue with fur is whether or not it's needed. I can't think of many places in Aus where you could justify wearing fur. Even in the snow and in Tassie, I just don't think it gets cold enough that synthetics and wool can't keep you warm. However there are many places in the world where it gets seriously cold, and I don't see an issue with fur there. I really don't think it should be a fashion or status icon though. It's not like we do anything commercially with the rest of the foxes, minks or other animals.

I've eaten venison that was caught by a bow hunter, and it was really nice, but I don't think I could eat it on a regular basis. Don't eat veal at all - the south park episode saw to that. Never tried kangaroo or emu either, but I wouldn't be adverse to trying it once.

I'd rather have high amounts of natural sugars, than to consume fake chemical sugar that can have some potentially serious side effects. So what if its a few more minutes on the treadmill/a smaller serving size? Fake foods scare me.

That is the entire point of the thread, Nightmare, to poke fun at the payfiles. There is no free files on a paysite, just crappy bait for the even crappier stuff.
