Hooooboy, now THAT song will be stuck in my head all day!  Thanks Pes!   Tongue lol

I could use the extra buck, but left a certain site when they decided to go pay site. Luckily for them they changed back to free.  I could never charge people for my creations.  It is a hobby, and one I enjoy sharing---mine are for the pure challenge of it!

So no one really gets in trouble for all this mess. EA couldn't care less, and can't be bothered after selling the games. And their customer service sucks rocks as well! So I doubt TSR could really be charged with anything for doing this stuff! And they have EA on their side anyways!

Okay, so I'm among those who are amazed TSR got away with it--- again.....Now who would be the ones to actually 'police' this issue?  Is it just up to us to just not go there anymore or how do they actually have to 'ante up' for their stupidity? Do they have a fine, a banning of something, or what happens to them if 'proven guilty' in this issue?

And how would TSR people feel if this same thing happened to them? Would they roll over and just 'take it' or would they run to EA, cry pretty crocodile tears, or What?!!

Why would I go there-I can make my own at home! LOL

I would love to just delete my account there, just out of protest. I doubt I'll ever go there again.  (I'll bet they are just enjoying themselves a plenty, checking out this site again.) They seem to get their jollies from lurkin' da "pirates" don't they? From one of the pages I saw in all this, they do check out this site a lot!

Something's bothering me here...in reading/catching up with all of you who have shared so much information, I read through this posting:

http://www.thesimsresource.com/articles/myths

Now in part of it, TSR said that they have discussed all this with Delphy and  'This is the newest one, and a direct result from my chat with Delphy. He informed his community that TSR was subject to a security breach early this year. He doesn't know the details and never actually claimed to in his post, but it has been twisted and turned into the "fact" that all TSR member accounts had been compromised and that TSR did nothing to inform or protect them. Its now even suggested that subscribers credit card details are included.'

I didn't read the same thing in Delphy's post. He stated facts, and left it at that.

thanks again for sharing all your info, and keep it coming!!!

6  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Exnem Sims Steals Sappire Sims 2 Meshers with lures of cash for objects!!! on: 2009 January 27, 16:32:49
Also as a mod on ss2 I reserve my right to rant here.

I agree with you Flamingo. I will never allow one of their meshes/creations to be on any of my lots. There are many, I'm sure, who could create the same things these two did, or better. I won't step into the middle of it, but I won't side with them after what they did to all of us.  They pointed fingers, they insulted us, to the whole community who actually may have believed their lies. Sapphiresims deserved a huge apology from these two---a very Public one, and I can only hope that I could be that forgiving to let them back after what they did-not just to the site, but to all of us in the site whom they badmouthed in the process.

It was bad enuff to have them badmouth the site, but when Sanctum is putting messages in my inbox-at another site-that was too much for me. I don't need that garbage, and I agree that they will probably do it all over again....it's the ol' drama thing they seem addicted to--they just can't get enough of it it seems.  Maybe they think that all this drama will 'up' their reputations (similar to a certain gal who haranged many people on the bbs with her 'one-sided' views of a certain program that was snuck into our games)

*Skye has the bar-b-ques all set up in one corner, the kegs are off to the right, and the band is playing a rowdy tune as the great big bonfire burns and people throw their effigies- three figures-into it.

And over to the left the many tables are set up with munchies, and all manner of food is served constantly by the local inns' barmaids; to the worn out moderators who have worked so hard on this project. The groups of people are starting to straggle forth to join the ensuing noise that they know will last all night--or until folks drop on to the cots over in the trees reserved for tired folk!

Many raise their mug in cheer to these tireless workers of the pirate crew-those sturdy folk who have worked so hard to get the prior job done in a timely manner.  The groups of people who have joined the pirate crew over the past week take turns putting these folk on to their shoulders, and parade them around, laughing heartily.

And over at the head of all this is King Pirate Pescado, with his ale mug in one hand and his leg o 'mutton in the other, laughing and basking in the glorious work he has tirelessly (nearly) finished with such success. He knows people will be singing his praises for a very long time.......

This is my thank you to each and every one of you who has gotten our beloved site back together in tact, and just as we left it! Thank you for all your hard work!

***********Thank You, All Of You*************

so the site is currently in 'surgery' right?

I am not going to complain about any of the hard work the mods and supermods have been doing. I think they are doing an excellent job, and I commend them highly.

I think this situation has gone on so long that it has everyone's nerves on edge. It's been a wee, or nearly that-of constant drama. That would get on anyone's nerves. Not to mention the 'withdrawals' folks experience over not getting in to their favorite site.

And once this is over I hope we can stop the drama, and get on with what we went in to site for....the creations, the downloads, and the community of friends.

I thought that 'RPG' was rather bad, and beneath us protesters.  I think that we need to LOOK like the good guys in this 'win.' Otherwise we look like the buttheadedness that is Kathy, Eric, and Walt.

*LOL There are no phones in Bermuda!

So what happens when he tries to use all those downloads we could not get off the site? He can't really believe he can still use them, right?  And if he wants more from those creators still on site, he'll have to allow us back in, right? Like eventually, anyways....

I have missed a night's reading, but I take it we don't have a new site up, right?

Here's another link-this one to Wank http://www.journalfen.net/community/wank_report/518.html?thread=2781446#t2781446

It has a summary of what's been going on so far.

Oh here's the other one, just in case someone missed it http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Walt

How are you able to get in???  I get a 'fail' every time I try! Can't get my stuff out of there!

15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 December 03, 22:20:57
Forgive my "compu=tarded-ness" but why is it that Walt can go in the site, rattle the cages, melt the site down, when we can't even get in there to our own creations?  Is it because he's messed up the server? Or he's messed up some internal parts so that we won't be able to get in there.

I thought we weren't able to get in because of the mirror thing, and the wild exodus folks were making-but it looks like No one can get in. How is this so? What is happening?

My next question is if I left my stuff, would it ended up lost, or perhaps him leaving it in place. I want my uploads outta there! Yesterday! (But I am able to wait til this all gets straightened out)
thanks for answers!
