Not that I am a fan of charging more money at all, but they aren't doubling it exactly. The subscription cost is based on a fixed number of euros converted by  based on the daily rate.

Todays conversion is:

Subscription: *
2 Month - $12.24
6 Month - $32.55
12 Month - $59.01

$2+ for a 2 month
$3+ for a 6 month
$10+ for a 12 month

It still sucks that they would take advantage of a struggling economy.   

I love this site....Never has my downloads folder been so full, never have my Sims lived in such luxury, and never has my game taken so long to load....What better time to drink the rum?!?
