I was kind of neutral to begin with. I've always disliked paysites but I used to just avoid them. I heard about this site and came here and my first thought was, "Yay! Free stuff!"
Later I came to the forum and read about issues with paysites such as: sharing personal info of their subscribers, supporting themselves off their sites, converting meshes for TS2 and claiming they made it from scratch, selling crappy content because you can't tell the quality of what you're buying, arrogant attitudes, calling their business transactions "donations", banning people who still have subscribtion time left so they don't get what they already paid for, and other crap. Plus the fact that other gaming communities don't have the mentality of "I made this and it took forever, so I deserve money!"
So reading about the debates has only solidified my opinion.

Gee, if we have to have an invitation to see her fashion show, how are people going to be convinced to buy the incredibly sexy clothes advertised in it? I want to see the latest fashions on Sims that walk like they're having a seizure before I decide to buy.

A 10% commission, you say? That sounds great! I'd love to make two and a half cents from each of the three people that are going to buy my work! I hope the system is set up soon so I can sign up right away! Blue is considered a calming color and that is why I chose that type of theme. However, I have been looking into changing it to a warmer color like red or orange. Oh, please, no!! |

Evidently the man and his friends have no life whatsoever. I do so I decided that, among other things, I was long overdue to spend quality time with my XBox 360 and its lesser consoles. Now that's a contradictory statement if I ever heard one! |

You're just jealous that she was able to contract all the best models and you had to use your own sims. Some of those models' faces will haunt my nightmares. I know she was going for the "realistic" look, but...scary! |

That's true. For all the whining paysite owners do about "stealing", there's not really anything they can do about it because EA won't choose a side.
Why do paysite owners think the issue is so black and white?

Yeah, just because they're ignoring it doesn't mean it will go away.
Although I guess taking a position on the issue would require actual effort, and how can they manage that when they're so busy churning out quality EP's and Stuff Packs? :roll:

I'll add my thanks to this thread too.
This site is awesome. I'm glad somebody is standing up to the paysites. I love reading the drama and the gossip and the hypocrisy.
