That's happened to me a few times. Or the thumbnail displays the incorrect mesh. Quite a few times I've gotten a thumbnail that was the Chinese vase with the new texture wrapped around it.

As a GoSling, I find it highly amusing that LDG went back to TSR partly because we didn't lick her ass enough. Apparently all of the support and congratulations we offered her weren't good enough. As for what kind of site GoS is, re: Anoeska, Liegen has said several times that GoS would welcome people that decide to go free. Nothing has yet occurred to disprove that, either.

Having dating site ads in general is not really appropriate for a site that claims to be family friendly, regardless of what orientation they're geared towards.

They can squeeze more money out of it by requiring people to buy a pet-centric EP instead of including them in the basegame, so I'm not surprised that's the route they took.

Whatever Aikea or Gelydh may have said in the past, it's obvious they no longer feel that way, so I hardly think it's fair to accuse them of not 'coming to terms' with things. By the same token, the free community was known to say unkind things about them as well, but they don't seem to hold it against us.

It's funny how things have changed, I wasn't really very active in the community in the Sims 1 days (still am not particularly outside of GoS), but I remember a lot of people were genuinely excited for Sims 2. Now, it's more surprising to hear someone say they're looking forward to it than say they're not considering switching over. (Though that makes me happy since I have zero interest in Sims 3.)


Add me to that list. I was considering Mass Effect before I heard that it, of course, was infected with SecuROM. I haven't even bothered to pirate it after hearing that, it killed the excitement.

I'm curious about something relating to this topic. Are 'free' things at TSR still fair game, or do they count as free and therefore off-limits?
