1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Aikea and Gelydh have their own site... on: 2008 April 21, 19:02:41
I just wanted to say this:

Hey, Aikea or Gelydh, if you're reading here, please feel free to post and say hello. I can assure you that you'll have a very warm welcome, and lots of rum will head your way.

Yay for good news! With all of the negativity surrounding paysites, especially TSR, it's always a great week when we have people going free, dumping shitty paysites, and bitches getting fired (talking about Atwa).

Time for a happy dance! *jig*

I started on these meshes ages ago. Finally finished them. There are four additional recolours for each mesh, I'll post more pictures if someone's interested Tongue

ETA: Oh, and these! Outerwear for teens (new mesh).

My regency 'hood is growning fast these days and I have to keep up so my sims doesn't have to wear the same old things. Teens and males are, as usual, rather neglected. Yeah, I'm a total junkie for this era.

I want those! I love making historical simmies. I just have a horrible time constructing neighborhoods around them, because I suck at building houses (especially themed houses.)

She's joined up to a bunch of forums and has set up update threads. Seems a rather poor attempt to gain more traffic..And she is being given questions and comments towards her brand new site with pay items - is ignoring them too (see SnootySims, Insim). That is rather a bad attitude, and speaks strongly imao  Roll Eyes

When we get her paystuff in the booty, I'm going to post a link to it in her thread at Snooty's. We don't like paysites there either.

Good news, nerd. Some of it already is in the booty

So go do that posting! I want to see what she has to say  Cheesy

I have a loosely related question:

How the heck do you pronounce Gelydh? The "h", it confuses me.

I think the WA they were talking about was Western Australia. Right?

Wait. Does this mean that the drama is over?

Wow. That was fast!

I'm glad it's ending so peacefully. It's rather refreshing.

So, just to be completely clear:

If someone donates today, will they get the file?

The bay area has good food, but I have never found them to have a 'specialty', the way other regions do.

Sourdough bread? It's a specialty. And damn tasty, too.

That comes from SanFran? My recipes are all Shaker.

Well, no. It didn't originate in SanFran, but it's something that they do very well. Ever heard of Boudin sourdough? It's very yummy.

I think it's provinces.

New York is pretty cool, but a little dirty and congested for my tastes. I love Boston. If you're ever on the East coast, the mansions in Newport, Rhode Island are really gorgeous.
California is nice. Los Angeles has killer traffic, but the weather is lovely, even though the dry heat during the summer has been brutal.

I'm thinking that it is only called rodini where you live Calalily.  I have checked Williams and Sonoma, Gourmet, and Bon Appetit, in addition to Food Network, none of them have Rodini in the database.
I've checked bread specific sites like The Fresh Loaf and King Arthur Flour's Baking Circle and no one has ever mentioned rodini there, either.

Calalily, maybe you can ask the bakery you get it from what it might be called elsewhere.

I'm very confused because you can find almost any recipe for bread online. But I can't find any recipes for rodini. Blarg.

It looks like focaccia. I want!
I love baking bread but I have yet to try my hand at focaccia. I may have to do that soon. Then I will come here and I will talk of its deliciousness and make you all jealous.
BWAH HA HA HA!
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR New EA Land site on: 2008 April 05, 05:22:27
They're rehashing The Sims Online and making it like Second Life, where you can buy and sell pixel objects and properties with real money that has been converted into fake money.

Fuckers. Douchebags. Profanity profanity profanity.

It seems like EA's giant stamp of approval for TSR. I cry inside.
