webhosting stores files hun, and as the title of the thread is about webhosting there's nothing wrong with him posting that link in this thread.

Yes I understand, but some hosts will terminate your account even if they do offer so called 'unlimited' hosting if you store non-web files and use your hosting account for storing your computer's backup files for instance.

Yahoo! even sets this rule on their terms of usage, even my own hosting company.

9.6 Yahoo! Web Hosting Function
...Additionally, the purpose of Yahoo! Web Hosting is to host web sites, not store data. Using an account primarily as an online storage space for archiving electronic files is prohibited. You further agree that if, at Yahoo!'s sole discretion, You are deemed to have violated this section, Yahoo! may suspend or terminate Your account without notice to You and with no liability to Yahoo!.

The unlimited BS makes me think of lunarpages.  If you can, avoid these types of deals with the devil.

*nods* Don't fall for the unlimited/unmetered crap! I signed up at hosts before who used that terminology to lure people in, there's no such thing!

Hey, me and redlove know about this, I dunno if others do. Free, ad-supported 50 GB online storage accounts at Adrive.

Here's the link:  http://www.adrive.com/

Brontix...this is related to WEB HOSTING not file storage. Two totally different things.

Anyone feel like contacting Netfirms along with me to have the site shutdown? I'd like to see what they'll say.

Let's see what are they violating...hmm claiming content as their own, not giving credit i.e. skins that are requested not be used on paysites. Anyone else have anything more specific that they can point out?

Oh noes. It says free to play... but wait what's this?

Paypal Features
Buying Currency for use in-game

Both EA-Land and TC3 have ATM objects that allow users to purchase in-game currency from PayPal at a rate of 989 : 1 USD. We call this "Cash In".

We plan to make a "Cash Out" feature available in the coming weeks.

Which means they will slowly but surely be heading down the route of 'pay-only/special content' Sad

We are working external custom content sites, TSR, for example, to make sure that their content will be made available in the game.
....I have nothing to say to that.

Nice job Anoramic. I think everyone should make an Emily.  We could put them all in costume and upload them as a girl band (or a paramilitary fighting force) on MTS2.

I'm seeking a consult.  I use pre-made stuff for my Sims that might be useful to some folks.   I don't know if there's a real need for it or if MTS2 or any of the other free hosting places would accept it as an upload.

I use Photoshop brushes for pretty much everything makeup related on the Sims.  This is one of my lip sets.  The lips were all taken from 3d.sk models or hi-res fashion photos and they're all sort of pre-sized to fit the Sim faces.

You can get stuff like this if you know some basic Photoshop:

They're handy if you're doing a real person.  You can resize and cut and layer one lip on top of another to get unique looks.

Does anyone think people would use this?

I'm looking for nice stuff such as yours for my site Smiley

And if anyone needs free hosting, see the above link!

And to anyone else, I'm hoping to also host downloads! And sites! Don't forget sites, I host sites
