1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR: In Ur Accounts, Deletin Ur Stuffs! on: 2009 October 23, 20:38:38
The ones I read about are Antonella's and despite the need for translation, the one I actually joined is a German based forum called Sim Collection. Both of them seem to have good intentions and as a parent I feel bad for them. I am still trying to convince my 14 y/o that TSR is bad, unfortunately all shes sees is the new shiny stuff. I think that is all any of them see and its just makes me shake my head.

Off current topic, but after a search this seemed the best place for it. TSR obviously trying to regain their foothold is sending spies/trolls into these little sharing forums & blogs. These youngsters are pleading for help to start a new fight against paysites. While its good to see new blood its sad to see how quickly TSR stomps out their little flames. What advice do you give these kids? I don't want to see a flood at MATY or here, they do however need some guidance.

I hardly ever reply here, but someone really needs to give EA & the BBS an eyeful of this and maybe, just maybe EA might pull TSR's nose out of its ass and start promoting real art rather than crap!

In the end, you did the right thing. That is what matters most. Paysites that choose to go free should always be welcomed and supported, regardless of their past. IMO mind you. Cheers

7  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Ahoy! New guy, new idea. on: 2008 March 19, 01:36:55
Paying for content is wrong. Whether its a deal made for commission or deal from a cut throat. The whole idea here is to get rid of paysites/ donation sites and support FREE sites. The ones who never bat an eye as thousands of people download their work and hardly utter a Thanks. These are the sites who should benefit,  not someone out to make a buck (reguardless if they plan to share it later) I hope that makes some sort of sense. I have types 2 papers today I'm zonked.

Edit cause I am too damn slow Undecided

I hope this latest little stunt will lead to many more Pirates. He really needs the wind knocked out of his sails
9  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / It raises it's ugly head everywhere. on: 2006 November 29, 07:04:01
I don't pay attention to alot of the Read Me' Details except with hacks. So correct me if I am wrong. Isn't it a breach of contract if they ban you before your 30 day sub is expired?

Is it just me, or does anyone else look at that and see "Bla Bla Sims2"?

Yup, Thats what I thought it said too before I did a double take. Seeing how they are brand spanking new and put pay files up they might as well be known as Bla Bla

I remember visiting there a couple of times. The quality of what was offered in the donation was really bad I didn't go back.

Yeah, Frank Zappa's Kids are MoonUnit and Dweezle I think, if I remember right. I don't think thats any worse than Kevin Bacon's kid isn't his name Maican? I laughed for awhile over that one even if it was only a hoax...People need to think more before they pick names for their kids. And this topic spins further off into the "blue" no thanks to me  Tongue
14  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / On a more serious note. Paypal concerns. on: 2006 November 17, 17:12:19
I have no way of knowing whether or not my info. was shared by Rose. I did buy her files. What a way for these people to say Thanks, I am still infuriated. Hopefully by joining this crew if only to swab the deck so to speak will force more of these blowhards to walk our proverbial Plank
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Why do people pay for some of this stuff? on: 2006 November 14, 08:28:16
I used to pay for things I thought would make the game better until I witnessed the Temper Tantrums being thrown by money hungry *cough* artists/creators (if you can choke that out) Why? A: Im too damn busy to ever think of making anything, tools provided or not and B: Im not a kid and I didn't think 5 or 6 bucks here or there for "good" crap would break me. Well, ya know what??? Screw that!
