Oh, I doubt they watch each PM, but we're here openly discussing this. They'd only have to watch Miller1220's inbox. Who knows if they are, but I wouldn't put it past them.

I think the title of this thread sums up what would happen to such a PM.  Undecided

I think BlackGarden's site is called Sim Shack.

Yeah, the slaving would make my idea impossible. Phooey (hey, I sound like my dad!). I'm sure people won't mind the bit of clipping. I would prefer it clip into the table rather than the plates, but I don't know if you can do it that way without getting the weird overlapping graphics thing. I think the lower table height would be fine as well, especially if you're just talking about a couple-of-pixels gap.

Would it be possible to incorporate the table and tablecloth? You could make an "invisible" recolor of the tablecloth, except, really the invisible part would just be the overhanging cloth area, and the top part would become wood or what have you. I don't know if I'm describing what I mean very well. But, if you just recolor the cloth part as the tabletop, the height won't be an issue. They would also be one object, though, so if you are wanting to be able to put the tablecloth on other tables my comment is moot.

Oh, I see. Committing crimes is a-ok, but "illegal thoughts" (whatever those are) are a big no-no.

And, damn. I missed the guestbook goodness.

After I saw SBNao's question in Ask a Pirate, I decided to make a white lattice deck. I posted it at MATY, to hopefully get more people to test it out. It's kind of a pain to install (not too bad), so sorry about that. Numenor will probably update the Scriptorium and I can improve the installation procedure.

Link to my post.

I love this thread; I think it's a great idea.

Because I feel that the full craptasicness of the Deseo set has yet to be realized, here are a few more screenies for your amusement/disgust. I remembered this set when Millie showcased it, and how annoyed I was that I had even wasted my time downloading the files from the booty. I did forget to check the recolors of one the paintings. No loss, I'm sure. I wanted to show how many freaking pieces there are to this set (58 files!), cluttering up you catalog all over the damn place. And no repository used, so the set is over 22MB for 3 colors. Pictures are cropped to save space. Clicky for more detail.

Here you can see the sideboard is eated if placed against a wall. The deco on top are probably the best items in the entire set, and actually didn't look bad at all. The footprint you see is the painting above, resulting in ugly overlap issues if you place something on the wall beside it. And the sink there on the right...shading, whut? It's funny because it often looks convex in-game, rather than concave, partly due to there being no drain at the bottom.

This painting suffers the same footprint issue as the one shown above. You can see the rug has the same problem as well. I didn't test the candles functionality, but I noticed the grabbable area for them is oversized.

Here are the counters. The 2 on the left have the d/w and t/c in them. Although only one package, this objects shows twice in the catalog due to fail cloning. The middle one, despite being the same object as the leftmost one, won't recolor once it has been placed. And the one on the right shows you a fucked up "recolor" which wasn't cleaned from the package. Looks to be part Maxian and part oops. The cupboards also have some extra recolor choices but at least they are just repeated stuff.

Picture hodgepodged to show multiple inept footprints. Here are the pieces you have to puzzle together to make the frame around the counters, which Millie showed in her post. All the footprints are completely off, and as she showed, it doesn't even all fit together properly when you do finally figure out what the heck these pieces of crap in you counters catalog are (circled bits are these 4 things plus the redundant countertop).

I believe there's maybe a warning on the Reflex site that the set's counters do not take sinks. Well, yes and no. You can place the sink without moveobjects on (and probably use it as well), but the results ain't purty. Yeah, the upper drawer just kinda...waits over there. Snazzy, n'est pas?

Welcome, MintGreen. I see no reason cats should fly based on that post.

I, too, am interested to see how the fiasco plays out through the next couple weeks. Whether or not the store items become "must haves" for the sheeple, or if they write it off due to the obvious greed on EA's part. Even though the store items are grossly overpriced, I think I wouldn't mind it if a) only EP/SP objects were for sale there, and b) they left our game alone - no securom crapola, no patching, etc. But since it's not, I wanted in on a piece of the butthurt, and I wanted to see the enemy in action. For those reasons I decided to pass a bit o' rum. I worry that the elitist "need it nao!!1!" mentality will get to people after the shock wears off.

I like those colors as well. I know nothing about texturing; I can barely draw a square in Paint. But I found this thread where HP gave some links which might help. They're about clothes, but it's prolly the same principle.

Beth, after importing your texture, right-click on it and select "update all sizes." You should be good to go then.

Bea-atwat. Be.A.Twat. Beatwat. Well, she got one thing right anyway.

For one thing, it has huge, and redundant might I add, textures.

I like notepad as well. It looks like a typical orange peel wall texture with paint that I see in most homes.
