1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Prettiest Freesite Creation Find: Round Two (Apparently) on: 2009 April 14, 00:57:40
You have to download all 5 files, then select them all and extract as usual.  I have winrar, but I'm assuming something similar is available in each unpacking program. Smiley

Naceygirl, thanks so much for taking the extra time for my suggestions!!  I'd like the silver one to be the center just like the ones you already did!  Sorry it took to long to get back this thread sure has progressed!! LOL   I looked at your live journal, and I like the "Jealous Box of Crayons", I think that it would be awesome (pun  hehe) for the vacations sims.

Dark Lunaris...wow just wow!  Someone else commented on how your feminine male sims look natural, and boy that hit the nail on the head.  I really like a lot of anime, but have a hard time finding it (and the manga affording it).  I particularly like manga, its so graceful, whenever I hit the book store I'm off to look at the pretty pictures!

Do you post anywhere other than MTS2?

Wow those are awesome!  You are wonderful at hand painting, something I truly envy, because whenever I try hand painting it ends up looking like a toddler on crack got a hold of a box of markers.  :?   (well maybe not that bad, but not 'real' or even sim 'real')

I really like the 2 reds, if you feel like it I would love a purple in the same tone as the upper left red and a white/grey/silver type of one (for the center color).  If not don't worry I love what colors you have already.

Where will these be posted?
4  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Look's like TSR did something good(ish) on: 2007 July 31, 01:07:18
Now don't make be walk the plank, let me explain.   I was going though the TSR booty and had TSR open in another tab, and what do I find in Birgit43's blog...an update on GUID conflicts here (July 24)  and at Sasilia's blog (July 11).

Now weren't these two just terrible about GUID conflict in the past?  I wonder if TSR has been getting complaints and said something to those two to get them to fix their crap?  Well that's at least one good thing they can do!  :?  Not that it makes up for them being evil.

Don't get me wrong I like this site.  I've used their downloads in my game, and I've recolored them.

But...

This would have a lot more impact if they had updated within the last few months.  We're not really being denied anything, if they hadn't planed on updating anyway, right?
6  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / MTS2 GOAL REACHED! on: 2007 July 28, 18:54:59
Wow!  That was quick.  I didn't even get the chance to talk to the man in charge (no not Pescado) about getting some money for a donation.

No matter what you say about the community they sure seem to come though when it matters!
7  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / But... no comments on this? on: 2007 May 23, 15:16:15
Speaking of the whole selling things with a logo, has any one ever sent letters to companies informing them that there are sim sites making money off their intellectual property?

Exemn has several "teddy bears" of popular kids charters, Pooh, is Disney and they are notorious for copyright infringement (that day care thing).  Doesn't Sim Chic have things like D&G and other brand names that I cannot remember? LOL  Or Vita sims and their celebrity sims.  That one I've never felt was right. If you make it for free thats one thing, but to sell the likeness of a celebrity (or anyone) with out their permission just doesnt seem right.

I'm still a bit skeptic, but hopeful.  It would be so wonderful if EA took a firm stance on the whole pay site issue.  I don't think that EA would have to lay out any money, I think that the community will self police itself.  After all isn't that what this site and SVF are doing.  Evening the playing field?

And to bayrou get your head out of your ass...pay sites make better stuff because you have to pay for it...err...whatever!
8  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Useful, Unusual Tools You've Found on: 2007 February 21, 16:20:49
I really like Double killer http://www.bigbangenterprises.de/en/doublekiller/download.htm  This is great if you have your files in folders and want to make sure you don't have more than one version of the file (sometimes those names are not descriptive ).  This program is fast too!

I've also found list maker to be a helpful program http://www.listmaker.cc/

And totally sims related MultiSims2PackExtract http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=37577  (MTS2 is down so I hope that is the right link, if not just search for it there).

How does that feel exactly?
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Ironic... on: 2006 December 21, 16:56:28
Hello, first post, but I've been reading for quite a bit.

There is a post going on at S2C, about Purple Juice. (http://forums.sims2community.com/showthread.php?t=30982)  Now what I find most ironic, is people repeatedly come here to tell you how rude you are, yet they are practically bashing a site over there, a free one as far as I know.

Whatever you think of the site or its layout is fine (I personally don't care), but come on!  A little hypocritical?

Anyway thank you for standing up and making a public statement about pay sites.  The Booty is great and all, but I hope the file sharers ideal becomes the standard of the sims "community", and not the 'Its Mine!  Gimme money' attitude.
