Here's six pages of results using the keyword "TSR" from the Sims 3 forums: linky

I tested that link in a browser that wasn't logged in to the forum but if it doesn't work for you, I can make screenies. Not all of the posts in the link above are anti-TSR but there is a nice mix.

A few quotes:

TSR is evil and virusy. MTS is always safe and the content is kickazz

Quote from: Schweisgr on October 8
I used to download the free stuff from TSR for my TS2 game - I even uploaded some stuff.

But then the took another creator's stuff and posted it against her wishes - they even claimed that she didn't make it, when it was very clear that she had.

Ever since, I will not download or upload anything from TSR.

And this delusional soul thinks TSR deserves respect simply because they are "Original Players". Um, wtf? I have no idea what that means. They also have only 1 post:

TSR has been online since The Sims original game. They are partly responsible for some of the ideas of leaving the home lot and lots of other types of interactions. So I think they have done a lot to move the game forward.

Whether you are a member or not does not matter, but being an Original player I think they deserve a little bit of respect.

I also think that stealing things, that makers worked hard on and ask for compensation, is wrong. Just plain wrong!

But I'm sure you all have your reasons for behaving as such.

And no I don’t work for them nor have I submitted anything to them. I’m a long time fan of the game.

As others have said there are too many free things to get to complain about paying for something.

I’m sure greed will pay off in the end for those whose believe they are entitled.

I'm going to bring this thread back around to topic for a sec (TSR: In Ur Accounts, Deletin Ur Stuffs!):

The Official Gmail Blog has posted some password tips, i.e. what makes a good password and what makes a bad one, not using the same password on multiple sites, etc. I thought they might be helpful considering how this thread got it's start.

Well, her FA minisite page shows no upcoming items and the last upload she made was a recolor on September 10 so I hope that's a good sign.

I wonder if this could mean she's not going to be an FA at TSR anymore? Because that would be great.

Well it's about time we got a Sim Secret. Those GOS bitches were hogging all the attention.  Wink

The whining and back patting going on anonymously in the comments is hilarious. How ROGUE you are, anonymice.

My question still stands. People still admit to liking the content they find there, still squee when there are recolours or like what HL did. And, they have SAID IT, so... whatever.

I don't think anybody is questioning the quality of Holy Simoly's stuff nor are they judging HugeLunatic (or anybody else) for adding to Holy Simoly sets/recoloring their meshes. The problem is El Diablo posted Holy Simoly stuff in a thread titled "Freesite Creation Finds" and Holy Simoly IS NOT a free site.

I love those tulips in a watering can and they would make a great "this freesite item is better than this paysite item" for Shakeshaft the Thief's Mt Lodge Pitcher: (did you know Shakeshaft was a thief? I no rite?

Thanks for that link to pixie. I need that on my XP partition.

That's PAY? Uh... can we please not put solid colors in the booty? I mean, I guess it'll have to go there, but it's ridiculous! I bookmarked this when I was playing with the Sims 3 design thingy: http://web.njit.edu/~kevin/rgb.txt.html

That color looks like EEB422, or very close to it. You can't own an RGB value!

My Digital Color Meter spit out D5AB3F but yeah, I hope those 102 people who paid for a subscription and downloaded that are having a serious time of reflection.
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Sirona Sims Adds Pay Section? on: 2009 August 12, 20:58:35
If she was also being hosted at a place that was cost prohibitive there are also people in the community that run sites or own/rent servers that have space to spare for hosting another site, not to mention plenty of pre-existing sites that would gladly take her in as a resident creator if she doesn't have the money or time to run a site and just wants to create.

See, that's the thing. Corvidophile knew that because she availed herself of the helpful forums at mysimsite.net when she was setting up her original site. I know she had her site set up first on a free webhost like freewebs with a domain name pointed to it. At some point it looks like she purchased hosting from hostgator (around the time she added the finds part of her site.) That makes it even more upsetting to me...she knows there are free alternatives, she knows there's help in setting up a free site and yet she still goes pay after a year or so of being free? It's weird.

I think you should rejoin too ShanOw. We've mellowed a bit in the last year or so too. ; ) And I think we've all done or said things we wish we could take back later.
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Prettiest Freesite Creation Find: Round Two (Apparently) on: 2009 July 30, 01:41:18
I'm still skeptical but I'll go along until they do something rash. They have put a blurb about donation sets on their Sims 3 FAQ page though so I fear the worst.
