You know how names of major hurricanes that cause a lot of death/destruction are retired - never to be used again to name another hurricane?  Perhaps the Sims community should officially retire the user name of Jan.

From what I've seen, she's only had 17 messages posted since she reopened for the umpteenth time - and they are almost all from her.  She says all old members are welcome.  

Tell me Jan, does that include those of us that told you what you thought of your behavior?  Or just those that might be patient enough to put up with you again?   Not that I want back in your group - my niece has her country cottage that her elderly sim couple are now living in  - and there are better more interesting ways of watching the "Jan the Drama Queen" show than letting you into my daily inbox again.



Think before you post, Jan, you just gave yourself away.  You admitted that you're reading at the pirates forum.  "If I see" is saying you're reading here.  (Not that everyone didn't all know that).  Since you called anyone else that's reading here a pirate, doesn't that make you a pirate too?

BTG, you're right.  Everyone has a right to share their opinion, and it's nice to be able to do so on a board that allows it.  I have modded in the past at a fanfic board where we did have rules.  In an effort to keep the peace, the owners banned any topic that might be inflammatory - religion, politics, hot topics of the day (abortion, homeschooling, etc).  This was mainly because teens were welcome, even encouraged at the site. Someone has to make them think people still have manners.  Still, it makes it hard to have an adult conversation.

It's made abundantly clear that everyone can share their own opinions here - and that this site is not for kids or teens.  I do not think trollster is a "fucktard"  simply for sharing an opinion - nor would I have called her that myself.  But I've got to admit - my first reaction was "how do I know she isn't Jan?"  Not that I cared enough to check to see if she joined before or after the Main ST Sims saga started.  Nor would I have voiced that thought - because trollster can type, more or less - and Jan has proven that she can't type more than a few words correctly per sentence for many, many years as seen in the comments at the simtribal forum.  Also, I wouldn't have voiced that thought myself because it would have PISSED ME OFF to have been called Jan.  So why should I do it to someone else?  I would have quickly pointed out my poorly written, but for the most part correctly spelled and properly typed fanfiction at hardydetectiveangency's website and perhaps included a few choice words of my own to the person who called me Jan.  

Also, if you honestly think Jan is posting, then I'm surprised.  After reading all those pages at simtribal - where she never showed her face (unless I missed something in the thread).  With all the nasty things said about her here, and all of the messages she's sent to people posted here, her mean bitch alter ego would have flown off the handle long before now.  I think you'd have had a diatribe good for 4 or 5 pages of comments by now, if she were actually communicating.

No, I think dearest Jan is just reading at the forum.  She's definitely doing that - evidenced by the fact that her groups/site have changed as things have been pointed out here.  But I think she's too much of a coward to actually speak here.  Because I don't believe she has a true multiple personality disorder.  I think she's just a bitch of a bully, who at the core is a coward when it comes to defending herself "in person".

Pardon my language - not wanting to offend anyone, but not in the mood for sugar and spice either.  I can register at the TSR forums for saccharine, if I feel the need for it.

No, no, it wasn't the devil.  It was a natural instinct to just say "ok, I've heard enough.  You need a timeout!"  A person can only listen to a unprovoked temper tantrums for so long before you feel like you just have to say something.  You must have done a much better job of saying it than I did, though.

Miss Angelica - One slight alteration to the synopsis they gave you of what's went on.  Rosemary (me) wasn't a mod.  I was just a curious person who stuck their nose in where it didn't belong because I didn't realize that I'd set off WWIII, (or WWW XXXIII  from what I've seen here at and at Sim Tribunal.)  I'm not a bit sorry though.

 I meant what I told her in my post and emails - and I even tried to be nice at first.  My curiousity led me to a fun yahoo group of people that like to be light-hearted and silly - which feels great at the end of a long workday.  And now it's led me to a unique messageboard where people can share exactly what they think and not be afraid to be banned because your opinion isn't what everyone else's is.  You just have to be prepared to accept that others might not agree with you.  I like that - there are very few message boards like that (that I've seen anyway).  

To Jan's mods - you guys have to have the patience of a saint!  I was just a mere member getting none of the behind the scenes nonsense and I still felt the burning desire to tell her off after just a few weeks. I couldn't believe she went off on a rant so soon after starting a new group - and leaving the old one.  Now I know that's just as natural to her as breathing air is to everyone else!

Nan - please, please, pretty please tell her you've made new friends - with the pirates!

Pooki, I've had fun joining in at UnitedinSims2.  At first I was horrified by Jan's rants (when it was refined sims).  Which is why I asked if there were going to be more.    Then when I saw she reopened, I rejoined the new one out of curiousity (and to get the set my niece wanted for her house - I'd have been better off dl'ing from TSR, wouldn't I?) . I should have kept my nose out of it - I know my temperment too well.   Too late now.  

Oh well.  If Mandy (my niece, not another Jan personality) ever says that I don't love her - this is proof that'll do just about anything for her.

I still have to laugh at her, because she's cursing out a screen name.  My actual name is Rosemary (waves hi to Nan and Edna) but she wouldn't admit me under that yahoo ID (probably because I stayed to play at UnitedinSims2 instead of running away like a good little sheep.  (sorry Nan and Edna - I've been a bit lax this weekend - I promise to wander back and play tomorrow!)    So, I signed up using my pen name from my fanfiction time at a Hardy Boy website.  (yeah, I know, I'm one strange girl).    

Since I signed up as Tara, I'll just stay Tara here, if that's ok with you guys.  I'm used to using that name at fanfic websites anyway.  Anything else might confuse Jan too much.  If I say something, I want her to know I said it.  

See Jan, you're not the only one that uses more than one name.  I have two!  The difference is - I'm the same person with each name.  What can I say, I just gotta be me!

Hi there!  I'm the Tara Lynn in question, and I thought I'd drop by and say hello, since I'm apparently a pirate now.  Since I've been accused of being a pirate (and that would be accurate, I do occassionally use limewire when I want to "testrun" a new cd before buying it.)  I haven't read the FAQ's yet, so if this post is inappropriate, please feel free to yell at me.  I swear I'll read them as soon as I get done here.  Instead, I spent the afternoon reading the 60+ pages of this thread and the one at Sim Tribal.  Wanted to know exactly what I was dealing with before I posted.

First, kariminger, I promise you I'm not an ass-kisser.  I did join refined sims awhile back to get some country recolors for a house I had dl'd and was "flipping" for my niece - she wanted something in shabby chic, or french country, or something like that.  After that I followed her trail from group to group out of morbid curiousity.  My comment to her about "we might like your stuff" was simply a way of being nice while still telling her what I thought about her diatribes.   You know, the whole catch more flies with honey thing.  Pffttt...  like that was gonna work.  Now I know, right?  But I promise, I'm not upset with you for calling me an ass-kisser.  You don't know me from adam, and there is a small number of those there, isn't there?

Second, I DID email Jan back.  After all, she responded to my comment in her typical, rantlike fashion and banned me before I could respond.  Typical, I know see.  So, being the independent *itch that I am, I responded to her - privately, like a normal person.  However, since she isn't normal, I supposed I should have let her have it in public.  Well, if that's what she wants, that's what she gets.  Here's my email to darling Jan:    If you want to delete it feel free.  If you want to keep it for amusement purposes, feel free to do that too!





My final email to her (unless she's somehow gotten my password and is emailing herself ) was to answer by stating that was an intelligent reply, but hey, at least you're getting the curse words spelled right.  



Now, Jan, honey, I know you're reading this message board.  So, instead of emailing you - since you won't reply to me anymore anyway, you'll just rant to all those poor souls still hanging on to your group - I will share this with you here at PMBD, if ya'll will let me.  

Jan, the only files I have of yours are in a house I sent to my niece.  I have never uploaded a house anywhere, mainly because I don't really create on my own.  I download other people's houses and redecorate - or "flip" them.  Since they're not mine to begin with, I don't upload them.  Wouldn't know how.  But you've given me an idea.  If I can get my hands on your old files, I'll create a house JUST FOR YOU and upload it to the Sims2 official site.  I promise!!!

As for me liking to make fun of people, as a general rule I don't.  But hey, you started it.  Since I've decided in my own warped mind that you're not truly mentally ill, but just a generally spoiled rotten adult that is used to getting her way, hell yes, I'm going to take a poke or two at you now.  You made it public, so why shouldn't I share the hilarity with others?

You say your group won't ever close again?  Do you promise?  And - don't cross those fingers when you make that promise.  I can see that hand sneaking behind your back when you say that.

And, one final thing.  If I'm going to be a troll, I might as well do it all the way.  Does anyone here have any pink hair paint and some heavy duty hairspray?   My trolls that I had as a teen had pink hair that stood straight up.  I might as well look the part.
