1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / TSR IS A SUCK-ASS SUCKY WEBSITE on: 2007 August 14, 03:05:29

Really I dont get why they bother. We do not cry ourselves to sleep because of it. In fact I think its quite spiffing, we need more pirate themed content for our games! Smiley

They probably bother because of THIS...

TSR has announced it officially in the newsletter.  A new EULA is up at EA - main change is that they now support paysites, and other changes are mentioned as imminent...

Really?  Hmm.. perhaps you need to read Nouk's conversation with an EA representative.  I believe that's what this original thread was about.  They seemed pretty clear on the matter.

But that conversation is looking a bit dubious now.  This was just one EA bod replying (probably at support level) and it just doesn't match with TSR rubbing shoulders with EA Corporate at this year's fansite event.  EA, in their own article, have named TSR their number 1 fansite.

EA would surely not have invited any site that so blatantly seems to violate their EULA, and certainly wouldn't hold them up as a great fansite example unless EA absolutely agrees with what TSR is doing.

This fansite event has screwed everything up.  Speak up, EA!  What is the REAL truth?!  Sad
3  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / New MTS2 Rules on: 2007 July 28, 17:48:02
I thought MTS2 used to be on the fansite list.  I thought that's how I found them in the first place.  They used to be one of the top sites listed?

Can't remember too well now though. Sad

And not everyone has been invited.  No MTS2 this year and Delphy seems a bit pissed about it - not surprisingly...

I mean: wtf?Huh?

Whether TSR was invited or they gatecrashed the gig, EA is still naming TSR as their top Sims fan site. EA likes TSR - that's clear.

So, one of the following must be true:

(1) EA has no idea that TSR runs at a profit (most unlikely)
(2) EA excludes TSR from their EULA
(3) EA doesn't care about paysites and the previous EA 'legal letters' are all crap.

I wish EA would come clean on what they REALLY think. Sad
