1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 December 03, 15:29:02
It's gone!  isitjustme says no such site.
I get a "Failure to Connect, Firefox can't establish a connection to the server" error, as well.  I think the server's just down - do you really think Walt would kill the site without another last ditch attempt to recoup his money?

How about giving this some thought before flying off the handle, folks?

I'm not sure if you're talking to me(?), but I wasn't trying to over-react or anything.  I was just agreeing with Feverish that, if and when EA ever comes out officially and supports paysites, I would stop playing the game.  It's an ethical thing for me, I guess.

That hasn't happened yet, obviously, no matter how loud the paysite supporters are crowing it up over @ SC2, but...  I just wouldn't be able to enjoy the game anymore if EA was all "TSR is wonderful and we support them!"  Maybe that's weird, I guess.  :/

Well as soon as they officially support paysites, I'm finding another game to play. Sorry to say but it's true.

Seriously.  The day that they officially support paysites, is the day that I uninstall all of my Sims games and never buy another piece of EA crap.

As someone who work at a university, let me just say that some of those graphic design/art professors can be WAY strange.  Especially, as SparklePlenty said, some of the younger ones.  It probably is some stupid, unofficial club thing; although why she can't name names is a little puzzling.  Very Hellfire Club-ish.

A few years back Jan said her husband had died and that's why she was leaving the community...  Eventually she did admit that she had lied about her husband dying.

Wow.  I wonder if her husband knows that she "killed" him.    She sounds like a real, hardcore nutcase.

Also, as an adjunct at a university, I can also attest to believing that Jan/Charlotte's English might be for real.  Some of the papers I have to grade feature native speakers with written English on Jan's level and worse.

It's some weirdo beach scene that scared the shit of me.

Seriously, what the hell is that girl doing?  It's almost like she's seen the horrors inside the site and is throwing her head back in utter despair/impending blindness.

Happy birthday, Nouk!  May you have many more productive meshing days and never run out of rum!

Heheheh, CN can use her/his/?? drag-queen models to come onto the Death Eaters and make them ran away, scarred for life...

Can't you just see them, though?  A long line of genderless, drag/tranny looking sims, shuffling like zombies under the weight of their eye-scarring Carla Niven outfits and badly animated Peggy hair...   *shudders*

Carla Niven is slightly colorblind. When making creations s/h/it uses too much color and sharpening in order to see the colors and textures.

This makes a good deal of sense.  I think you've really hit upon something here, perhaps even...the truth?
