1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Poor Atwat.... on: 2008 October 24, 02:48:42
Not saying that I am an atwa expert or anything close to that.I did spend every night for 6 months talking to her.How that came about was a slick move on her part. And a dumb move on mine. But anyway, she is a very miserable person. She is suicidal at times (atleast she claimed to be). She is completely obsessed with Thomas. You guys have no idea how deep it goes. Well, he is the only man she has had since she was 27, she is now 53.You can tell by her pictures that she has issues with recreational beverages. She has no friends (surprise), no kids, no close family. All she has is Thomas, TSR, and here. Her life is so empty. Does that mean that I feel sorry for her and I think she should be excused for her actions. Hell no. As Paleo said we all have issues that we have to deal with.

That's scary.  Perhaps being alone for so long drove her to her Thomas obsession.  Not that being without a man excuses her.  She could have found a healthier outlet for at least making friends with other people. And ugh the idea of her and him *together* makes me feel a little sick. If they really were I wonder if his wife has any idea or if it's just a delusion on Atwa's part.

Of course they deleted my post with the EULA quote!!!

I've about 100 uploads there, but now I'm seriously reconsidering if I want to upload anything there in future. I am peed off. in fact i think I'm going to put the eula on my profile, just to pee them off back. What a prick!!!!

Deleting the EULA quote is really disturbing.  What reason would they have to delete something packaged in everyone's sims 2 game that everyone should have seen and read?  I'd say deleting a direct quote from the EULA is a direct admission of guilt.  If they were in the right why would they be bothered by someone posting something from the EULA. They know they are wrong.  And the parts about donations make me giggle.  It's not a donation if I can't access the content without paying it.

I've also decided to stop uploading to TSR and begin using my own webspace. I already pay around 30 a year for a domain name and low bandwidth hosting package so why not use it?  I can upgrade my webhosting package easy if I started using more than the 20gbs a month bandwidth I get.  It will all have to wait until my new computer gets here though.

Does Thomas actually do anything at TSR other than promote the Atwas of the world to FA and sit back and watch the money roll in?  It seems like all the grunt work is done by his underlings.  It seems when people have problems, that it's Tug or one Thomas's other servants who help. Like in the site information forum.  Thomas just starts the threads and rarely answers the myriad of questions the barrage him after his initial post.

Ah well. Ruth Chris is also a real entity. They have them around here. Apparently quite good, though I don't eat moo-cows so I don't know for sure.

Yep, yep they sure are, you are right. kariminger has found another one.

And I am almost certain I found a Dairy Queen at one time before I found PMBD. I'll have to go back in and look again.

I got a dairy queen from mod the sims 2 a few days ago.
5  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Carla Niven must be destroyed! on: 2007 June 20, 02:19:42
I could see how Carla could almost fool a gullible downloader at first glance with all the glitter and glitz and flashy photoshop editing.  Well fool them until they saw the paypal button and Carla's outrageous prices.

Capucine made me feel nostalgic for Daggerfall.  I don't know if I ever found that book but maybe I should take out my daggerfall cd and find it.

Hmm, I'm sorry to burst this bubble Sherrie, but I've actually kept an eye on your creations there since this whole hostage situation started, and I noticed they were removed much sooner then you're stating, somewhere around mid-May

You are a piece of work.    We have 2 pirates stating that Sherrie's stuff was there.  But, you, a known troll is the one we are suppose to believe?

I guess the only ones knowing for sure is TSR, you should ask them

And what guaruntee do you have of their honesty?  Sad

My main thing with TSR is that no one should have to go to extreme lengths to remove their own work.  Editing and removing your own creations should have been an option at TSR from day one.  I don't do much creating myself but I do have some lots and skins up on TSR and I wish I had the option to remove them if I chose.  I would rather have the lots exclusively up on my own site or another site where I can have more control over the display pictures etc.  I also wish I'd known when I uploaded them what I know now about how TSR operates.

I used to have a subscription but it was just too hard to find what I wanted without wading through so much that I didn't want that it wasn't worth it.  I'm not using cc right now because my main computer died and my laptop had a small hard drive with no room for sims creations (missing my custom content a lot but at least i can play) but I realize that what I was using was things from free sites other than a few tsr things.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to TSR if EA does something about pay sites.  Maybe it would help them move into some sort of positive direction but then again I think they may be too far gone to change.
