The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Raonsims has something to say...

nostalgicpaty, it may be a bit more helpful if you gave that advice to them instead of posting it here. I'm not sure exactly what we're supposed to do with it. i posted it here to see what you guys think of it and to see if my suggestionis even a real replacement for making people pay. but hmm as if i can get incontact with them. I actually think google ads are too complicated for their greedy mind to understand, plus if they keep their pay files, google might not accept them into the program because they're illegal... You can try though, websites that target a specific product usually generate a lot of revenue that way.

I am not so certain as to how people who make a donation think however the website involving donation I am thinking of is solely for the purpose of maintenance, nothing more. What the fuck does that sentence even mean? I've tried reading it aloud, I've tried inserting punctuation (ooooh, that sounds dirty!), I've even tried removing words and I still don't understand a damned word of it! Maybe some of the money she's taking from poor, mislead idiots should be used for writing lessons instead of web site maintenance? Because, Jimney Christmas, woman! I cannot understand a bloody word! I'll take a stab: "I'm not sure what donators think about paysites, all I'm saying is the money will go to website maintenance" PS: website maintenance includes feeding Raon and her chilluns, because without Raon and her Cuuutttee chilluns, there is no website.

There are plenty of people who do a bit of artwork or software development or whatever because they enjoy it and might therefore call it a hobby, and also charge money for whatever they make. I don't see anything wrong with that.
That's misrepresenting the issue quite a bit, as analogies often do  1) When you create a software, you do not first sign a EULA. 2) I take it that when you say developing software, the software is to be developed from scratch. All forms of CC currently available are not purely works of the artists. In fact, only a very small part of it is created by the artist. Firstly, if the creator creates from SimPE, which I believe is the case 99.9% of the time, their work is not 100% original. In order to create a CC from SimPE, you must clone an existing object. That means, there's always something that can be traced back to EA's product (such as the codes that define the CC, to be read by the game). Only a select few people could work a package out from scratch (such as SimPE contributors), but they all do it for free. There are also things that I believe are independent enough to not be covered by the EULA, such as Delphy's download organizer, jfade's compressorizor, paladin's hack conflict detector, SimPE, etc. None of those are for pay, however.

lol, I don't pay for -anything- man. You think I'd pay to be a mod? I'm gonna have to get eye surgery from having to look at the moderation queue. You think that comes cheap?
Nobody pays to be a mod. Nobody's paid to be a mod. Done out of love, enjoyment of the friendships one can make there, and masochism, nothing more. But... but Lyric's squad said you all do ><"

Eh, once you have your name in the paper because of a conviction for...what was it, child porn?....your life's up for grabs.
(I know we have a link to it somewhere here...will search and edit.) Before you search, I'm talking about morals, not legals Morals? In this phorum? We're pirates! Arrgh? Yes, because the person I quoted before cared, otherwise, (s)he wouldn't feel so strongly about Delphy's actions, just like Pescado.

My personal opinion of Delphy is that he is a sick, pathetic bastard who should be taken out and shot at dawn. And that's disregarding all insubstantiated rumours. He just gives me that creep-feeling. I do, however, agree with Hecubus in that this thread gives him more importance than he's worth. He's just not worth all the ongoing speculation. That doesn't mean I want him to make any money, same as I honestly wouldn't want any sick, twisted, scheming hairdresser to make any money off of me and my family and friends. In fact, I'd probably prefer that hairdresser to starve, but that's just me being petty again. It's just - all the info is there already. There's a multitude of discussion available for anyone's reading pleasure on this very board on his alleged paedophilia and his schemes to steal money from others etc. Heck, I read most of it before I even started posting here... So, do a search for it if yous want, but I doubt a new discussion without anything new other than some button with a misspelled url will reach new conclusions. Just my two cent. You do realize that most of the bad things discussed about him is his private life, and that it is immoral to violate other people's privacy rights like that.. right?

What I was asking is if there was anything undeniably official to end this war once and for all. Why I ask is that I have been sitting on some pay files I've fixed for my own uses and want to share but I don't want the drama that traditionally goes with it until I know EA is on my side. (My hoped contribution to the war effort: Outdo the paysites by improving their own stuff.)
People over at SFV had already been doing that. If you're ready to release anything, that's an already-established outlet for you.

i also dont understand that page, first she says shes a lesbian practically engaged to her gf, then she says delphy violated her eyeballs, then she says she wants to lose her virginity (to a man she has a crush on). I stopped reading after that. If these secrets are all supposed to come from the same person, they arent consistent and appear more to be "me practicing my storytelling and photoshopping skills" than anything else. besides how out-of-the-community can it be if it was found and posted here? its more likely to be either the original poster (beawaywithit)'s page or someone they know or they are part of the lame anti-delphy mob that tried to recruit pescado lol
The page is not written by just one person. Random people send in artwork they make to confess their secrets. This is pretty clear if you wait for the whole thing to load or read the text at the botytom of the page, but not at all obvious if you're in a hurry. So, for all we know, the person who posted the delphy entry could be an old, geeky, fat male?

If there's evidence that it's true, it needs to get out then. It's not fair to work up sympathy without evidence. Delphy has done things in the past to raise suspicion, but to attack him this way based on annonymous, unsubstantiated rumors is wrong. Well, I was in MtS2 irc chat for a very long time. I do know that he did give out a webcam to at least one girl. He was known for asking for panty pictures often (with the girl in them, heh) in "social", the general chatroom. It was also common practice by pretty much everyone else in the chat to ask for boob shots, even moobs. If it's "common practice by pretty much everyone else" then I question why someone as innocent and vulnerable will go there in the first place? and redisenchanted: agreed, I never cared about chatrooms either.

I got a PM from them: Your "news" from EA
With respect to your thread, "Oh lookie! Some interesting news :-)", any such "news" is currently hearsay and rumour. Until such time as EA makes an official announcement about this subject, these rumours are not welcome on the forums.
Continued postings about this subject will lead to your account being placed on probation.
The Moderation Team :? I'm just neutral on this. I don't want to be jumping to saying 'They're just covering up and being yadda yadda yadda.' Though I don't think deleting the thread was necessary, it might have been nice to hear everyone’s opinion on the subject. Well, paysites survive on dogma, and to sustain the stupidity, censorship is important... and.. to whoever posted the link on the official BBS: You're my hero(ine)!!

I noticed that EA has taken an interesting stance on one of their other games. command and conquer tiberium wars. they have custom content in the form of maps and they have only just released a programme to make the maps with. last night while looking for some maps, my husband noticed a few paysites have already set up shop selling these maps  however we were able to get some free maps off a website.
HERES THE CRACKER!!>>> I installed one of these maps and played online with my husband (who hadn't installed it) the game automatically detected he didnt have it, and then it auto file shared it!
hahaha the game is designed to auto transfer any custom content between players, this is going to be a hard knock for the wanna be paysites in that community, EA seem to be taking a stance of stopping the paysite problem before it starts, now all they need to do is stand by their guns and sort out this community. I hope that system somehow gets implemented in Sims 3

Ok I looked at that thread for AA over on Insim and what ManagerJosh said irks me! I know that it wasn't the place to say something but I had to because what he said was completely out of line! I really wanted to go off on his ass, but that thread is to help Nouk not start a war....also isn't he the one with the really stupidass paysite? that you can't even see what you're getting before you pay? Manager Josh I sincerely doubt SFV or the Fish's site would want to help in the first place. They blatantly violate other people's intellectual property so it doesn't surprise me the are going after free stuff now too. http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?p=736586#post736586Yap, that's one guy with an ego so thick, that even though no one from anywhere likes him, he still posts as if people cared. I bet if you punch his face in, it would bounce back like Luffy.
