If paysites die...maybe we lose a little content...that which we don't already have in the booty...

In the short time yes, but what will happen in the long run? Let's assume that all of the paysites are closed and all of the CCs are available freely, isn't that means that the Booty is no longer needed? And if there are no booties, will peoples still come to PMBD and/or join in?

Known issues:
This isn't really an issue, but if you're orphan scanning and you find that you have a large amount of orphaned files, please take note that not all those files maybe truly orphans.

I take that from MTS2 just in case someone miss it.

I got the same result as IceBlu, maybe the file is damaged.

OK, I downloaded Delphy's program. I can clean out my duplicate files, but when I go to check the "orphan" files it tells me it is being used by another program and won't list them. I read his/her Wiki, but there is nothing about this that I can see. Shouldn't it list the orphaned files just like it does duplicates? Am I doing something wrong?

AFAIK, the orphan searcher isn't fully functional yet, hope this will be fixed in the next version. Maybe you'd like to try SimPE for this?

I had 12GB of CC

I wonder how long is the loading time for the game with that many CC? Mine took almost a good 30 minutes just to load the game and another 10 to get into the CAS screen or to get into any playable lot.
Well, can't complain though, 'coz me rigs are pretty old  Sad

@Pirates Like Sapphires
I had to agree with Lord Pescado on this one, your new name DID sucks...Cheesy

Well, as for me, my downloads folder is currently running with more than 24.000 CC worth around 10 Gigs of HD space
To help me deal with the headache of organizing it, i'm using these wonderful utilities :

1. Delphy's Download Organizer
    It's here:
    http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=227925

2. Sims2Pack Clean Installer
    It's here:
    http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/

3. SimPE
    It's here:
    http://sims.ambertation.de/
I use SimPE mostly for scanning package health, and with plugin i can
use it to search for orphan mesh/recolor

4. Hack Conflict Detection Utility by Paladin
    It's here:
    http://www.simwardrobe.com/

Each tool had it's own pros and cons. Don't forget to read the manual if you decide to use it.
I hope it's useful ^_^

Maybe that's got something to do with your file system.
Each Windows file system (FAT32, NTFS, etc) had a limit in how many files are allowed within a folder.
