Such lovely uglies!

I think this was put together by someone who was both colorblind and fashion challenged. Or maybe Ugly Betty really IS the new "What to wear" these days? Either way, it puts the UGH...in ugly...

And another fugly...

And this one I'm not really sure if it belongs here. I actually *LOVE* the front of this dress. The back, however, does have some "WTF" issues. Did they get tired of designing? Did they run out of material? Just what exactly happened to this poor dress... that had such *promise* until they designer stopped...well... designing.

It's a sad thing...

I just wish if they were going to post that kind of stuff, they at least had the balls to call it what it actually *is*... Frackin' stripper-wear...
of course that would be like they are admitting they are violating the terms of service by changing the game rating with their custom content.

Not really sure why they are worried about *THAT* since just by charging for this crap they are in violation. Whatever... Don'tcha just love the selective reasoning that is T$R?

I hope this one hasn't been posted yet... but if it is, what's a little more bandwidth theft between frienemies? Cheesy

Behold my smutty donation. Granny undies that are see-through!  (Yeah yeah, I know... there is a fetish for that somewhere...LOL)

Edit: Aww, the muffin didn't like us usin' her picture so inserted something cheesy? Guess they didn't realize it's the same size and takes just as much bandwidth?  Cheesy

The garter-truss-thing is really disturbing... I didn't post it because (like I few others, I'm sure) was torn between Ugly and Smutty. And Michelle's post of the shiny black dominitrix dress... well... I think I have that dress in my Dragon-Con arsenal. Just the thing a girl likes to wear to meet her new subs... Wink

My submission is kinda gross. Hope you haven't had breakfast...

Nothing worse than wrinkled satin... no wait... that's the model!
4  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR Can Haz Yer Facebook Account, too? on: 2010 March 10, 19:11:45
At least on Twitter, they don't get access to account information like they will with Facebook. I feel bad for all those unsuspecting dolts, blindly clicking "yes" to register with the Facebook TSR group and wondering why their TSR accounts are automatically renewing.

No wait. (laughing) TSR wouldn't be so devious to auto-renew someone and not tell them first. That would be....

Hmm... nevermind.  Grin
5  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / TSR Can Haz Yer Facebook Account, too? on: 2010 March 10, 13:38:44
Yup that's right. Early this morning, TSR announced you can now connect your Facebook Profile to your TSR account by adding their "special" facebook app.  Win drawings! Special items! It tastes like Hershey Kisses!

Now I'm sure everyone's heard on the news and in various places that not all Facebook apps are created equal and some apps from devious people can include all kinds of code that may compromise your identity, location, even credit card information... and since pirates are smarrrrrrrt... they would never dream of letting a site with the background TSR has (primarily their penchant for hacking accounts and intellectual property to see the pretty insides and change them!) into their Facebook accounts for the goodies promised.

But since it's New... and thus News... I thought it prudent to mention TSRs latest efforts at sniffing us out. It is hereby nominated for the Pirate Kitty's "Most Obvious" Award of the year. They should be proud. I hear "dumb" is in, this year.

I found the fug winner! Warning: it hurts the eyes badly O.o
perhaps you'ld prefer painted on bows? Well here you go.
OH.MY.GOD.

But they look so *cute* in the original cut outs to the left! Shame the resulting dresses look nothing like them.

The pink one doesn't even have the same neckline as the original... they cheated and used the "I'm really not a chubby" prom gown mesh. And the back of the blue one? Man, it looks like they had no idea what to do with the back so just fudged it together with pieces of newspaper and spray paint.

I call this the Wal-Mart sales flier series. Just cut out the pictures and make dresses for your sim dollies...no one will look at the back anyway...right? Cheesy

Look! Is it a glob of molting metal? A shiny piece of shit? No its TSR!

I saw a post with a link to this in the sims3 facebook page. It said WEDDING DRESS......... I guess if your a PORN STAR

... or a Hershey's Kiss.

(re-re quoted because I just LOVVVVES me some stolen bandwidth...)
8  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: NewSea moves to TSR! on: 2010 March 07, 22:34:36
What is bad... The nicest hair that newsea did is the free one. The rest look like potential nominations for ugliest pay content. The Hawaiian one... especially. Poor sim looks like a poster child for the horrors of the $6 haircut.
9  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: More Smutty Than You: TSR's Hall of Shame on: 2010 March 04, 21:43:29
Looks kinda like an old fashioned sanitary napkin belt. Ugh. How Schmexy is that??
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2010 February 22, 16:36:04
I don't see a whole lot of difference in the front and the back. How would the poor old lady know which way to put it on? I hope someone had the foresight to sew in a tag. And can we take a moment to make fun of the creator's name? Simromi? It sounds like a simish version of the San Francisco treat... which sadly... this isn't...
11  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Look at what I made and om nom nom it! (Post your creations pt. 2) on: 2010 February 18, 16:22:23
I think they look very lovely, PirateKitty! She does great work. I'm looking forward to that calendar. (omnomnom)

I would totally download this but don't have TS3. Will you be making them for TS2?

Was aiming for the quote button and accidentally hit the thanks button... LOL... loved the look I got from my other coworkers at the bleat that ensued! Note: Those buttons are way too close together for old kitties! Cheesy

Anyway, no, I probably won't be able to make them for TS2 due to the fact I no longer have the computer that housed it. I'm now running TS3 on a Mac Bootcamp partition and just don't have room for both :/

I'd be more than happy to supply the jpgs to anyone who wishes to create them for TS2, though, providing they are just as careful with credits.

Edited to add...

I see there is now a "Zodiac Collection" on TSR using Boris Vallejo's work - no links or thank you or anything. Took my idea... took Boris' work. Is there nothing they won't plagiarize? (I would eyeroll but I know the answer to that...)
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2010 February 15, 17:01:20
That's not only ugly...it's fucking creepy...
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Look at what I made and om nom nom it! (Post your creations pt. 2) on: 2010 February 14, 16:11:31
I'm new at this whole creation thing, but I'm trying to learn. Figured I'd start out with something easy...well... comparatively easy Smiley  I simmed this Zodiac Collection based on the gorgeous works of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law.

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=388152

While I'm on the subject of wall art for sims... and we are all on the subject of paysites (being as that is why we are here raising such a stink)... this set was inspired by something that really pisses me off. I wanted to make an example that shows how artwork is SUPPOSED to be credited.

Most of the art I've seen on pay sites have been blatantly stolen from the artist... and I'm not talking "the Masters" or public domain artwork... I'm talking about stolen from artists who are out there trying desperately not to starve!

Sure, occasionally, one may credit the artist, but I'm willing to wager none have actually bothered to contact the artist and ask permission to make a profit off THEIR hard work. I'm thinking... artists would kind of frown on the idea and I hate that these slackers take the hours and hours of REAL creativity... slap it in an in-game frame... and have the balls to charge people for it with NOTHING kicking back to the artist who actually created it. TSR loves to send their little cease and desist letters so much... I would LOVE DEARLY if their  little group of plageristic talent thieves their own letters from angry artists. Quid friggin pro friggin quo... right?

Stephanie is a friend of mine. She works really hard on her paintings and it's her livelihood. I *did* get permission to use her work and she is excited to have her collection featured on MTS. I'm not making anything off them... she might get a little web traffice... so it's win-win for her. I don't really claim any real creativity here. I just made sure they were proportional, the colors translated well, and her links and name was all over the descriptions... y'know... did the grunt work.

So anyway... feel free to check the wall hanging collection out and point and laugh...whatever. Just be gentle. It's my first time... and it's friggin' FREE... so...   Kiss ma booty!  Grin
14  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2010 February 14, 15:30:59
I never thought finding the ugly in the world would be so much fun. I've broken three people with one picture. Off to find more! Cheesy

(seriously, though... I know what you mean. I totally need another eye patch...)
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2010 February 13, 20:21:15
Though technically a free item... it's on a paysite so it's fair game...right?

Behold... proof positive that love is blind... or it will be after viewing this without proper UV protection...
