I've never understood SimChic's popularity.  Their photoskins aren't the worst I've ever seen, but it's still nothing I would ever put in my game.  The male clothing is the worst.  The pants in those pictures look blurry and terrible, and the artist was too lazy to even line up the sleeves on the jacket.  They can't even be bothered to make a simple correction that would only take a few minutes?

I don't think it's even intentional; Carla just doesn't know how to do alphas.  Instead of looking like lace, the front looks like it's been eaten away by something.

Even if it isn't stolen, photoskins of little skirts like that are incredibly easy to do.  If you don't care about making high quality clothing it would probably only take a minute or two.

I'm always extra wary of any upload that doesn't include pictures of the back and side view.

It's an awesome thing to do.  Recolors are often the only thing that make pay meshes usable, but not including the meshes just encourages people to pay for them.


As a creator, I'd love to see this happen.  I don't have my own site and there are some pay meshes that I'd like to recolor, but I really doubt any of the sites I could submit to would let me include them.

His whole post on S2C just seems like an attempt to draw more attention to his pathetic quest to become a featured artist.  I do find it kind of funny that he has to work at it instead of having TSR come after him.

And I guess it's pretty obvious this will never happen now.  He won't even update his files for all the people without Pets in the thread who've begged him to.

Some of their artists seem to want to be indistinguishable from each other.  Chaz and Jirka do really similar sim previews and phrase their descriptions the same way.  And now WillStefan has started copying them too.  It doesn't help that they all keep doing the same damn people over and over.

I also just noticed that Dr. Pixel is now a Select Artist, so you can grab his stuff for free.  And we've got a new FA.

That's because a lot of creators like using the male jeans textures that came with Nightlife over and over.  So now we can buy Maxis jeans on a Maxis mesh.

And be sure not to miss any of the great sims in the subscriber area that look to be made of mostly Maxis content.

I was also disgusted to see this as a subscriber download.  Now we're expected to pay for the ugly sims random people slap together?

Thanks a lot for the upload.  Perhaps it's time for Tristan to pay a visit to the Exchange.  And to become a fat sim, of course.

While we're at it, could someone put Tristan back up?  I have no interest in her little soap opera, but the way she acts about her sims makes me want to hurt them.
