1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Offical Site Interviews Windkeeper on: 2007 September 25, 18:56:04
I did read somewhere that, sadly, yes they are one and the same.

I can't really do much supporting the booty, but I figure every little bit helps.  I did "narc" on exnem to Disney a couple of weeks ago.  Here is the reply I received:

3  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / The Sims Mod Board is having problems, too. on: 2007 September 11, 03:49:14
I have a few of Katy's things in my game--they suited my purposes.  But, like the poster on SFV, I went to MTS2 to maybe pick up a few more items and found this on every one of her downloads that I checked:

Empty tread. Delete that. You all didn't deserved anything.

Talk about having a fit and taking your toys and going home! Though I never corresponded with her directly, she reallly didn't seem like that kind of a person in the posts I read of hers.

That comment was just downright rude and belittled every simmer who ever downloaded anything of hers.

Quote from Mikey:

And I don't want to get rid of all the free sites. There are lots of them who don't care what we, or even 100% pay sites do. It's just the ones who have a god-complex we need to put a halt to.

This is the only post in the "viewable" area I found.

And I really can't grasp how they expect to sway people to "their side" if no one knows what the hell they are talking about in secret.  I mean, the closed forum is preaching to the choir.

Perfect, as usual, Paden

Can a 51-year-old grandmother be a fangirl?

I had to laugh at that comment about honking the horn, Army Wife.  I raised four boys and their friends (both boys and girls alike) would come over and sit in the car and lay on that horn!  My husband or I would go to the door and yell at them "This isn't Sonic Burger and we DON'T do curb service!  Once was all it took for them to start coming to the door.

On the contrary, Hawk Girl, I applaud you!  I'm a grandmother, too, and I know just how you feel.

And I visited his MNTLite site just after it opened.  They were advertising a biker bar for Sims 1 which you were linked back to the main site to download.  It was part "exclusive" and part "complimentary."  The pay part was the stereo, counter with Harley Davidson logo, other mundane items.  The free part was the dance floor and a fully-functional strip poker table!  These items are freely accessible to anyone who registers.

I notice that now, that preview set is gone from MNT.  But the accessibility is still there at M and M.  I would much rather have my kids able to download the counters and what not than a strip poker table.

Thank you, Hecubus.  It's been a l-o-n-g time since high school lit class.

The problem I still have with Mikey's site is that anyone, regardless of age, can register and say they are eighteen.  And if they post in the forums enough times, they can gain access to everything.

I can't believe I read the whole thing!  And I agree with one of the posters there.  I don't think Jan/Charlotte/Bev is mentally ill.  She may have more than one loose screw, but I see her as a conniver, a manipulator.  Once suspicion begins to fall on her, she starts creating lies to cover up and gain sympathy.  The lies lead to more lies. And like a con man, she disappears only to reappear later running the same game.  Her biggest slip-up was keeping the same files as she moved from site to site.  Evidently, she's quite proud of those creations and cannot let them go.

A couple of lines spring to mind.  (I can't remember the entire poem--maybe Hecubus or Lorelei?)

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light!"

I'm sure Jan/Charlotte/Bev will never "go gentle" anywhere.  As soon as the light of attention begins to die, she will once again rage.

They've changed the front page now, too.  That last forum topic on "They did What?" (the Delphy thread) is now either gone or hidden.  Although I fail to understand what hiding it would accomplish, as only the select few would able to view it.

The email contact info has been removed, but Lyric Lee under her own name has registered today.  Hah!

I read through all the posts and I must say I am not impressed.
1) I mean, how anyone can take a site seriously when you post this as the first (and only as I didn’t see any others) rule:

http://z11.invisionfree.com/SaveTheSimsCommunity/index.php?showtopic=4

I really don’t care if this is supposed by funny or not.  “We are not amused.”

2) The fact that this is called a forum is laughable.  By definition a forum is a public meeting or assembly for open discussion.  I saw no open discussion, only one-sided rants, half-truths, misinterpretations.

3) Aside from all the misrepresentations I saw on the site, they should at least get their basic information straight concerning the IC3.  I saw comments like “I didn’t know this site existed,”  “it’s only been around a few months,” etc.  Well, if these pay site owners were all so gung-ho about their intellectual copyrights and had done any kind of research on the matter, they would have known that the Internet Fraud Complaint Center changed its name and scope to the Internet Crime Complaint Center in 2003.  It’s been around for years.

4) They had no problem with posting some financial information for MTS2, but how many of them would put their own information up for public display?  Oh, wait—see point 2 above.

Just my two cents.

You have adult content that is freely accessible by anyone, 18 or not.  Your site states on the very first page that you must be 18 to enter--but where are the safeguards that that person is 18.  I clicked through and registered a while back--even registering, all I was asked for was my username and email.  Then I had access to the free part of the site.  I looked around.  I'm sorry, but a naked sim in nothing but nipple rings is definitely content of an adult nature.
