Before this topic, I knew nothing of the site, or the so called designer... This is how I would describe a visit to Carla Niven's site; It's like when you're driving and have to use the restroom and so you stop at a gas station next to an abandoned insane asylum, and the attendant looks like she might be a pre-op transvestite but you're just not sure but regardless she's wearing really bad 80's thrift shop clothing and has a really bad weave and her lip stick is smeared and she's a total bitch and tells you it’s going to cost 5 bucks to use the restroom but you're desperate so you pay and she tosses you the key and when you open the restroom door the first thing you notice is a horrid stench and then you see that the toilet is backed up and overflowing and damn! is that a dead hooker in the corner? and oh my god! what is she wearing? it looks like a Carla Niven outfit. Yup. Just like that. Do you mind if your description is used in another site that is storing reviews? |

For me was pretty obvious that WolfSim68 was just doing all she could to become a FA. I stopped using her lots, seemed she was more interested on quantity than quality. Good luck, she will end chewed like many others.

Strangely enough, after the Booty came into existence I've got less CC than I've ever had (holding steady at 2GB, was 4GB once upon a time). With each EP I find there are EAxis things that do/look like what I'd had CC for, so out goes the CC version. And I strip out old stuff before I'll install new stuff. It's like a rule I have now. At least four hairs go before any new ones come in, like that. Oh I though I was the only one with a thinner Downloads folder than pre-booty. Actually I use the booty in a childish way. My downloads are in general from Rose and Peggy so a) "Revenge sweet revenge" for the way I was treated when I was a newbie 2) I can point and laugh. Pretty stupid reasons so the files don't even end in the DL folder. I think the booty made me realize that 80% of the pay stuff out there isn't worth my time to download it. I had this theory "you get what you pay for", it changed quite a lot with the involvement in the Open Source community and the Sims environment was definitive proof. i.e. I always wanted the Victorian stuff of VitaSims, got it from the booty and decided that my DL folder was happier without it  Like others here I bin all the hair I put in my DL folder if isn't yet binned and no eyes or skintones get there without being geneticized and NPC available. That takes my time and effort so makes me ask myself if is worth it. I'm anal retentive so I've sub folders divided in Eyes / Hair / Skintones / MakeUp (you got the point) and inside those by creators, plus recolorists have their subdirectories under the creator of the mesh. Hey I said I'm anal retentive, ok? |

First I need to admit: I'm biased. I like Holy Simoly, ATS, Numenor and I donated to them AFTER finding their "donation" packs in the booty. I even did the same with Lianaa (that I dislike as FA) because I like the fact she 'frees" one of her packs every time she releases a new one. I would like to be as adamant as others here. I just can't and I make distinctions. TSR, Peggy, Rose are evil. HS, ATS I wish they would become free so I could happily donate to them without feeling weird.
On the topic. There are only two options here. 1) you don't accept the logic of paying for items. 2) you do. Once you accept that logic everything else is a consequence, including that the seller wants proof before providing with you with a copy of what you paid for. You must admit that isn't hard to create a fake PayPal receipt. So according to 2) HS was right. Actually, at the end, you received what you asked for even if HS didn't deem your proof conclusive. This thread didn't make me change my mind about HS, actually it confirmed my opinion that it isn't evil, just misguided.

Does anybody know who is MsBarrows aka Queen of Idiocy? Yes, some pay artists create versions of copyrighted characters - but then so do free artists. *Looks at all the versions of Disney characters and TV show actors on MTS2 as one randomly selected example*.
See, unlike a lot of people, I've actually worked in game development, as in "earned money to work on computer games as a level designer and as a 3D Artist", so unlike oh, say, you and the people who run the booty, I have at least half a clue about what terms like "intellectual property", "copyright", "copyright infringement", and "fair use" are about.
Yeah right... maybe the arrogant idiot should take a look at the fair use legislation. |

I went to read that thread in TSR and find it very interesting. Specially the usual rant about respect. I would like to know from nikita489, the one that posted I think being part of a community is the issue of respect. When someone creates something, whether free or pay, you should respect their conditions. what does s/he think about TSR hosting a recolor by nikisatez05 ( http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/sims2/SetID_528267/) of a mesh by Nouk and linking to the MTS2 page where Nouk clearly states: * Do not upload my mesh or recolors to a paysite. Only paypeople deserve "respect of their conditions"? TSR minions make me sick. |

I got BV and H&M even though I didn't ask for that one on the 6th. I still haven't installed either one. My daughter said all those hints you wanted it for your birthday, then we had to wait till after your birthday for it to be released, because you were wrong on the day it was being released. Which made you think we forgot about it. Then we go out of our way to get them for you and there they sit. Next year your getting flowers. lol I just haven't had time with everything that's been going on to back it all up, so I can install. Oh well maybe this weekend.
I went to Target the 4th because for some silly reason I was persuaded it was available then. Went back the 6th and brought home BV. And now it's sitting there because I'm afraid of installing since I don't know if the Inseminator or MATY's mods will still work and I still didn't find the time to browse MATY. It will end like with Seasons, I installed it only when I got the updated SimPE. |

I remember that bs with Libby. She posted a pic of her "son" at N99 in a wheelchair with bandages all over his head and his blonde hair was sticking out thru the bandages. :shock: It looked like someone had wrapped toilet-paper around his head? (funny it was the day after the supposed BRAIN surgery he had and he was being released? ROFL!) That was what started people asking questions, no way would they release someone one day after brain surgery. (I have no idea if that's true or not) You can bet isn't true: the head is shaved BEFORE having brain surgery! Just my imagination or the sims on that "donation pack" have Enayla's skins? |

Last night I finally found out how to get rid of my account in M&M since I didn't want to be in any way associated with freesites destroyers. To the best of my knowledge, derived from posts by members, the site they want to destroy is MTS2. Interestingly enough Mikey!!! says he doesn't want to destroy anything. Maybe he should inform his sheeple |
