1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Think Before you Speak LOL on: 2007 May 23, 02:55:45
Well, I'm fat and carry most of my weight in my belly, with a little in my hips and butt.  I'm assuming you can all tell where this is going....
I was walking in a clothing store and some chick comes out and says, "When are you due?"  So I said, "I'll let you know when I'm actually pregnant."
At least she had to have been more embarrassed than I was.  Jeeze I need to get to the gym.

But nooooo, these idiots congregate and with the spasming of their collective brain cell, form a plan to get the professor reprimanded/fired.

This acutally happened to at least one of my professors.  I think that there were actually 3 of us that didn't complain about it.  It's sad too, because she was really brilliant.

Seriously, if you want to discourage sex, just hunt down a detailed pathophysiology textbook.  You might be able to find one at a decent sized university library.  Find the chapter on STDs and share with your child.  I have a text that's got the NASTIEST photos of herpes.  I cannot stress how gross these photos were.  I almost cried.

and I'm with you guys on the procrastination

ETA library.  Why the heck would you want those pictures lying around unless you absolutely had to?

Abstinence-Only programs are being taught because the school districts need federal money.  Although, for the most part, I think that the majority of our country needs to learn a thing or two about self-control, I don't think this is the best way to do so.  Since it clearly doesn't work.

Okay, I have to finish studying now.  Bye
5  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / New Paysite Alert on: 2007 May 09, 01:15:33
I just had to post this and it's in response to those of you who were named after soap opera characters:
My mother named me 'Erin Elizabeth' because she heard the mother from "The Waltons" call the names out like that and thought it sounded pretty.
It's also very frustrating to be a female and see you named constantly spelled "Aaron," the traditional masculine spelling of the name.  And also given the fact that I live in a very, very Irish Catholic neighborhood, they should really know better.  "Erin Go Braugh" indeed.
6  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / LMAO off at Vita Sims "donation" celebrity heads.. on: 2007 April 11, 17:11:43
I agree, D'Onofrio is gorgeous.  Even though he's too old for me.  Here's his IMDB page with many photos.  He usually only has a little bit of stubble on the show, though, so ignore the ones with the beard.
7  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / And another one...Simcrow? on: 2007 April 07, 01:15:33
I knew you guys would enjoy the uglies.  My personal favorite was the "orange" recolors for the bathroom.  Visible from space for a whole 'nother reason.

I was browsing the Google today for some images and ran across a paysite.  It seems to have been around for quite some time, but given the quality of their many recolors, it’s easy to see why they’ve managed to stay off the radar.  The site is Simcrow
The original search lead me to this donation page, where they are selling recolors of a Maxis mesh and also appears that they’re selling recolors of Holy Simoloy’s popular (and as we all know, free) Arizona Living set.  A quick browse of the whole page indicates they did give credit, on the updates page.  I think credit works a little better on the page with the actual download, but that could just be me.
They also have Atwa-style recolors.  Enjoy the browsing of ugliness!
It’s a shame their guestbook is down so we can’t bombard them with hate mail.

Dumb question, but isn't she a FA at TSR, also?  I thought I read that somewhere.  If so, I wonder how she does the updates...release first to her website, then to TSR or the other way around?  There's no way she makes unique thing for each site.
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Alms for the colourblind & SimPE colourbinning question on: 2007 March 16, 16:55:59
I could be wrong here, but I think that if you load any color into the grey tab, then it only saves the grey.  So, if your hairgreenmesha has a grey attached to it, you can load it into the grey tab and it will save the grey, and the green should go bye-bye.
When you are loading the colors into the tool, you can click on one of the ages that is check-marked to see if it's the right color, because sometimes you load them in there and it's a black recolor but the file name is red (wtf?), it'll show you the actual colors.  When you go into the grey tab, there should only be one age checkmarked, and when you click it, if it's grey, then you should keep it, but if, using our previous example, it's green, then you'd want to trash it.
And just a hint, but if you're using XM colors, their "silver" color makes for an excellent grey for that tab.

wow that's a lot of commas.
11  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Alms for the colourblind & SimPE colourbinning question on: 2007 March 15, 17:31:49
I really like Theo's plug-in for SimPE, and once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use.  I also have everything colorbinned the way I like it and would be happy to share mine.
I'm a super-sorter, so all of my downloads ae sorted first by site, then by creator (in the case of MTS2), then by what it is according to CleanInstaller.  And all the hairtextures are named by the mesh they use.  I'm on break from school right now and I do have some time to help sort, so if you want to PM me, I can send you some, or even sort some other site's that I don't have.  Maybe I can help explain Theo's tool for you (but I'm not so with the explanations, especially over the internet)

Um, all of the above.
I'm no expert by any means compared to some of the people on here, but I bring linkies!  And I suck at posting them correctly.

Anyway, this is a tutorial that explains how to bin properly, and also how to delete other ages that may not be custom.
http://community.livejournal.com/thesims2/1609913.html

I, however, find that much too technical, so I use Theo's color binning tool with SimPE, and find it incredibly easy to use.  In fact, I bin hair on my own everytime I add a new style.  I actually like one of XMs light browns as a blonde, so...you know.  Here's a link to that, and I believe he's got a tutorial somewhere on that page.

Hope this helps!

I would like to donate again, but won't be able to until paypal gives me my money.  I will redirect the money when this happens.
