Oh for heaven's sake, leave him alone.  Hanging out on TSR doesn't make someone evil any more than being a Muslim makes someone a terrorist.  Jfade has contributed a great deal to the community and has never charged money for his work.  He shouldn't have to give up his old friends and haunts just because the place has changed since he got there.  Aren't there some real paysite owners out there who need harrassing?

Heh, that's funny, lumping MATY in with Delphy's bunch.  The cult bit is even better.  Granted, Pes *does* tend to accuse those who leave of being traitors and spies, but I don't think anybody actually takes him seriously (sorry Pes.)  And he certainly doesn't try to flatter people into sticking around or claim to be the One True Path to Salvation!  :p

I really don't get that.  They're shooting themselves in the foot more than anything by refusing to let people remove or even edit their own submissions.  Imagine how much lousy, low-rated crap that rarely if ever gets downloaded would vanish from their servers overnight if all the creators could get rid of their old, embarrassing items!  Sure, they'd be able to boast fewer items overall, but they'd also be able to kick their reputation for having a few nice items in an ocean of worthless crap...

I actually didn't mind subscribing to TSR before they made the recent changes, but all these new FA's they've brought onboard are crap.  I rarely see anything really interesting come up in the "coming soon" sidebar anymore, and when something does, it's invariably from Windkeeper or Cashcraft or one of the other FA's who've been there all along.

They'd probably have more subscribers if they limited their Featured Artists to people with real talent who make unique items instead of flooding their pay section with the same kind of craptastic items you can get on any Sims site.  :p

Hmm, let's see, what all have I picked up about the old bastard while hanging around the chat...

Pescado is old and has a long prehensile beard, eyebrows that periodically fall off and grow back in again, grey skin with a tendency to peel, no neck, a short stocky build, and a hairless scalp covered with horrible disfiguring scars.  Also, he wears a live cat named Cat as a hat and has a dog named Dog and another dog named Terrorist or Yappy Dog who is small, extremely hyper and (coincidentally) yappy.  He eats raw meat and cheese and consumes copious quantities of undiluted caffeine, never sleeps, possibly suffers from some form of vampirism as he hates sunlight, and has abnormally internal organs, including a liver that oozes some unidentified gooey black substance.  According to his doctor, he should be dead several times over.

He is the last surviving member of a family who bred for survival traits and didn't name their kids until they'd proven their worth by living to age 6.  He disapproves of sex (in part because he claims to have found nobody who could survive having sex with him,) stockpiles weapons and computer components in his Montana bunker, owns piles of gold in which he delights in wallowing, advocates draconian population control measures, and programs his individual Sims to have amusing traits such as exploding re-assemble-able heads and uncontrollable incontinence.  He enjoys whaling off the coast of Asia and trying to rig Google results to push his personalized insults for various MATY members to the top of the search results.

He runs a MUSH called KludgeMUSH, is convinced the world as we know it will end due to catastrophic oil shortages within the next decade, claims to have killed a large number of people and accomplished impressive feats of destructive hacking, and despite continually carrying on about spies and traitors, claims not to be paranoid because they really are out to get him.

Illogical.  If this site upsets someone important to you, then they must care about the Sims in some fashion, and would probably be even more upset if the game suddenly disappeared.

Also, the person in question?  Needs to (a) get over themselves and (b) find a Significant Other who will spend less time pissing and moaning at people they don't know and more time comforting their S.O. and pointing out the silliness of getting upset about a video game.

Dear god, just when I thought the ghost of Patricia Fucking Pulling had finally been laid to rest.  The woman was psychotic, her friends and "expert consultants" were loonies, she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about and she didn't die anywhere near soon enough to suit me.  *Spits on her grave*  I shall speak no more of this.

The only sites I've ever considered worth paying for are TSR because of the enormous variety and quantity of items they offer, and Simslice because their stuff really is unique in both form and function.  Too many paysites offer blocky, upscale, minimalist modern furniture just like the next site's blocky, upscale, minimalist modern furniture (often poorly made to boot,) a thousand and one ways to make your Sims look like anorexic beach-dwelling silicon-laden prostitutes, and walls/floors/lots no more different or interesting than anything I could make myself.

Apart from the modest selection Maxis offers, there's a regrettable shortage of nice, reasonably priced, hey-I've-got-one-of-those content.  I'd consider donating to a site filled with nicely made, basic everyday clothing and furniture like what I can find at Wal-mart.  To me, prosperity doesn't mean having fancy expensive stuff, it means having all the ordinary comfortable respectable stuff I need in good shape, and that's what I want for my Sims!

Well, she and all the other paysite owners can take heart, because in a few more years this site will be toast and it won't matter anymore.  World's gonna end, dontcha know.  :p
