91  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Exnem/LL charging for Maxis recolours. on: 2007 February 02, 15:02:15
That whole house thing is weak.  I wonder how much of the exact same CC was used.  Or if it was just changed a little to make it seem less tweaked.

I don't know.  Maybe she actually re-made the house.  If she does a lot of lots then maybe she did.  Just silly to make a house someone else already made.

92  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Pay MESH recolors on free sites on: 2007 January 31, 22:46:15
I have never come across a pay mesh recolor where the booty was mentioned or a pirated mesh could be downloaded.

The only links that seem to be provided is where you can "pay" for the mesh if you want the recolor.  I've come across this on hair and now the bathtub.

It just sux.  You see the item and like it, then want to download it.  Go to reading and discover it's something that you will have to hunt down and pay for if you want the recolor.

I think it's a cheesy way to "drum up business" for a paysite.

...and you didn't put this in the OpenhouseJack thread because....? :?

...Um, because that thread was about his blogs and how weird he is.  This thread is about putting pay mesh recolors on free sites.  Perhaps I'll change the thread title.

Okay, okay...so it's not new.  But it's still pay and not on the booty.

Regardless of all that...why put a pay mesh recolor on a free site??  Does he work for TSR now?

I'm pretty sure that the next EP after seasons is a vacation one. They revealed how they make EP's in California, well, how they choose. It goes new EP, old EP, new EP, old EP, etc... Old Ep is a theme from the old sims , new is a new theme, lol. Uni was a new EP, Nightlife was based off Hotdate, OFB was a new EP, Pets was based off of Unleashed, Seasons is a new EP, And Vacation is supposed to be next, based off of the original Sims Vacation. Smiley So now you'll know what to expect in the future Cheesy

That's rather interesting.  They can't really make too many more additions to the game.  The new Seasons EP will have more needs from your CPU.  There's just not really going to be a lot of room on most computers for too much more game content.

Openhouse Jack makes a new recolor of Sunair's beautiful new PAY MESH from TSR (that is not on the booty)  and uploads it to a free site!  He's got it pretty as day right there at InSim.  Of course he apologizes for it being a pay mesh, but justs uploads it anyway.  WTF?

Here's the link:  http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?t=35884

What, is he doing trying to drum up business for TSR now??  I really like the Hexoganal Bathtub but damn.

EDIT:  Someone was nice enough to PM me the MESH file.  In case anyone else wants it and the recolor, here it is:

I personally wouldn't mind a more adult version EP that could only be sold to adults.  Duh... LOL

Lots of the video games for XBOX, etc. are marked M for Mature (adults) so I don't see why they can't make a special EP for M.  This EP could have some of the more mature themes and interactions like stress, jobs and relationships.

I am almost certain I mentioned shoes before.  But that is a MAIN yes to change.  Those wretched sandals are just aweful.  It would be really nice to have a stuff pack with all accessories.  Shoes, jewelry, etc.  That should be relatively easy to do, shouldn't it?  I just can't imagine why they haven't already done it.

For a moment I thought I was on S2C....   What, is it a rule that every sims forum HAS to have this topic? Can't we just be happy with what EA gives us? WTF does this have to do with paysites?

Actually I think new EPs have everything to do with paysites.  Talking about what you would like to see may be mute since EA will put out what they damn well please, but in any event, anything that is added to this game will be raped by some paysite.

Some fucker will screw with a mesh or recolor something and figure out how to make illegal income with it...

Funny, at least this topic is staying on topic!  LOL

I know this may seem spammy, but can I make a request that NO new posts are posted about wanting a SuperStar or Making Magic TS2 EP? Thank you. It's really annoying me how many people are posting just to mention SuperStar. Does anybody have any OTHER ideas??

Do you have any new ideas??

Another suggestion would be an Ep where you can have working apartments.

That would be a neat idea.

All in all then, I guess a Hospital Career EP would be kind of fun too.  If your Sims get sick or break and arm/leg they could go to the ER!

Whereas you could also have Sims that work there and be a doctor/nurse at the hospital.

These Career ideas have so much potential but I'm afraid that anything worthy would just knock your computer out.
102  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Name your dramawhores and why. on: 2007 January 28, 17:41:17
I think this EasyBreezy poster is quickly stirring up the drama and liking it...

Reason:  Out of one side of their mouth they are saying something nice then out of the other side they say, "fuck you".   :?:   WTF?

my hopes are that something could be built into the game to make it harder for sims to die instead of finding  a thousand more ways to kill them

You can always turn off aging and drink the elixer of life or drink the cowplant milk.  My Sims never die exept of old age or fire...

...It would be cool to have an expansion like Sims 2 Careers. Where it gave you the option to go to work with you sims and make them do stuff  Cheesy

Yes, that is a better idea.  I like the Sims2Careers title.  Then they could all be combined.  That would probably be a pretty BIG EP though.  LOL  I like having more options of destination.

It would be hysterical to be in a Police station and be able to question the burglers that theive your stuff in the neighborhood.  OR someone in your neighborhood with the burgler job.

"Oh, ...hi...Dave.  I had no idea it was you who stole my tv!"  ROFLMAO!

Having them in handcuffs and putting them in cells.  It would all be fun for storytelling too.
105  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / What EP would you most like to see for Sims2? on: 2007 January 28, 17:03:07
Wouldn't it be neat tho to have an EP type addition like Sims2Firemen.  Where you could go to work with your Sim (if you opted to)  and do firehouse stuff and go on a house fire with them.  You would have to control your Sim and make them hook up the hoses, put out the fires, save other Sims, etc.
