I only say that to people I'm talking to when I'm REEEEEEEALY drunk.

Me too, along with "Oh, I'm so sorry! I'm drunk!"  I always feel the need to apologize.

And I agree, I do believe that is their only form of socialization, and when one goes "SQUEEE!" the rest follow.

The one MAJOR thing I hate is that ANY ANY ANY thread that has someone with a differing opinion winds up in a slobbery lovefest.

Argharghargh Simbella is so terrible. I want to take a shit in their collective mouth.

Omg. I have taken a pain pill for a toothache (miserable fucking tooth) and am therefore in a nice hazy sort of way, and THAT made me spit my tea all over my monitor.  You owe me some tea!

And congratulation "the meatworld" that's a great word! Cheesy I want it. That says it all, no confusions about "what is real in the real world".
Meat= food and sex. That about covers what's real. Wink

Thanks. I totally stole that word. I'm a WORD THIEF!

Hell, I'm a girly girl.  I love gossip and chatting about girly things with other women.  I just don't feel the need to add in "OMGZ I LUVS U GUYZ!" with every post.  I just don't need that kind of affirmation added to my life.  Maybe that's why I got turned off from the place.  I wonder if they're just .. insecure and need someone to tell them what a special snowflake they are, constantly.

They do indeed.

I get the idea of act young, be young, but some people take it pretty far.  There are several women on that forum that I would absolutely hate to run into in meatworld.  I'm willing to bet that many are big, big boxes of crazy just waiting to open up.

That's no excuse. I only see Maz and my bratty cats most days and I'm still able to communicate in a somewhat coherent and sensible way.

I meant, I think they're lonely.  And instead of communicating with their spouses, they shrill and trill and out-crazy one another.

Is anyone else frightened by the fact that most of the people at Simbella's (the vocal, ass-kissing ones anyways) are mostly adults who are married?  Seriously, WTF?  They're acting like they're in high school and they're married?!

I suspect that by the way many of them talk of their husbands, that forum is their only outlet for any kind of communication with anyone other than their kids.

I used to enjoy Simbella's.  I have over 3000 posts there, although I haven't been posting in a long while.  It used to just be friendly - you could chat with other people and enjoy yourself - they were also fairly supportive of one another.  Now it's almost.. frantically friendly, as everyone tries to prove how much they love the place, Bella, and the mods.  It's turned into Mean Girls, except instead of being upfront with their snobbery, you've no idea when it's going to turn on you.

It's like .. The Stepford Forum.

I have to say, with the exception of the person who's mother died, this thread was frickin hilarious.  Went from "Haha, LyricLee is fat" to "Fat peoplez have feelingz toooo!" and "It's not nice to make fun teh fat people" to "I'm fat, but I can't help it!" with "You can too help it, fatty" thrown in.

And we all know the media NEVER sensationalizes anything to make it seem seedier or more interesting.

Still, though, I'm not really defending Delphy.  I don't know him.  I don't participate in enough forums to really work up a good ol' anger about this.  The news site said he was on the sex offenders list for five years ... six or seven years ago.  Apparently he's paid his debt to society.

No, I don't have kids.  Not entirely sure I want them.  But were I to have them (and the same went for the three kids I did babysit for) NONE of them would be on the computer, unsupervised, EVER.  On ANY website.
41  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / TS2 Enhancer 1.4 on: 2007 April 09, 03:41:42
Pfft. I am weak, stupid, and humble.  I'm also (maybe sadly) enjoying this thread.

(I did buy the enhancer thingie for TS1, found the 'support' laughable, and never purchased it again.  I do see how it is easier for people to use when editing a sim than SimPE is, though.)
42  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Universal Sims... on: 2007 April 08, 20:39:49
I don't know what Delphy was convicted of, and to be honest, I haven't actually dug into it.  I did click on the news-link, but it wouldn't come up.

I do refuse to judge until I know more details.  People can be sex offenders for the most ridiculous reasons - or the more harmful ones.

On N99 he got the mods to lock the thread cos he didn't like the way we were implicating a family member into the scam.  Though I am not always sure what he's saying.

The part that bothered me was:

This issue is beyond upsetting without all the personal attacks and accusations, I don't even know why I bothered explaining everything at this point, there are so many things I am trying to deal with and as some did say...it's way too much for me. I am doing the best I can but it's beyond stressful.

I don't know why one would bother asking for over $2000 without explaining anything.  THAT really bothers me.

Boredom causes strange behavior.  I googled "Ameliiya" to see if there was anything I was missing, and the first ten or so pages are all her, her myspace, or links to her webpage via other sims sites.

Is this one of those things where someone believes they have a 'boring' name, and thus try to dress it up with extra letters?

I'm not even trying to put her down.  I have a weird interest in names and origins of name, and I have a hard time believing that someone would stick their child with a double "i" in their name.

I'm never gonna find out how to pronounce Ameliiya. Sad
