Lorelei - I think they're pretty good - very realistic representation of the people concerned. Well, cool! Thanks for that. I'm uploading the Law & Order Sims .RARs today. Same address as above. No Ed Green, because he can be made in 20 seconds via CAS with Maxis defaults. See Law & Order 'family' picture for details. Also, brunette in flashy dress is not a character, but a 'witness'; eventually I'll transmogrify her into an Abby or something. Got bored, alas. The ones I am still tinkering with aren't available. Also, I hate playing hide and seek for custom content, so it's in there. It's either all free already (I believe all of it is various free content) or is/was made available in the booty (in case I missed something). If you're having issues with Norton program removal, on a totally unrelated note, I just went through hell to get the uninstaller, so I uploaded what I finally acquired to the account as well. Norton resists being removed via normal Add / Remove process, and can uninstall incompletely even with Symantec tools, meaning that IF you want a Norton product some time in the future, it won't install because it thinks there's still Norton crap on your PC. This app is supposed to really, truly remove the crap. Feel free to DL the Norton_Removal_Tool.exe (I found it at Major Geeks, after hours of looking) and keep it handy for any future Norton removal issues.

Incidentally, the only site on that list that looks familiar to me is All For Sims, and maybe Artistic Habitats. Never used any SimsHost sites.
What hosting group is/was Dincer Hepguler's site on? MoonSims or somesuch? I forget. It is/was a similar umbrella of pay-ness, though.
ETA: "SITES HOSTED BY MOON SIMS
dincer hepguler thesims site
Hooty Holler
Ikbod's
KILLERSIMS Free
SimLove
Similarity Free
Sim-Sations
SimsDiva "
Some duplications here and with SimsHost. Not interested in parsing who should get credit or blame for being the PayMeister for the group of sites, but I suppose SimsHost would outrank MoonSims, given that they claim they "brought you MoonSims".

it's called bleeding a theme dry.
She made a couple of items on the egyptian theme, and people thought they were uumm... 'unusual' so that was it, the floodgates were open, egyptian fridges, dishwashers, love tubs, diving boards, cookers, telephones, burgler and fire alarms...in fact any maxis item you can paint in block sand, black and yellow and paste a scarab on. See, I can already think of several existing meshes that could be used that would be more accurate. Or as accurate as The Sims 2 can get without borking the game too much. Need to store food? Forget about making a fridge, make a cabinet that stores food. Dishwashers? Why not wash them in a bucket sink? Toilet? Locate it outside, and make it look like a hole in the ground inside an outhouse (or recommend making a small walled room). Love tubs? Why not make it look like a watering hole? Not that there were that many watering holes in ancient Egypt, but we can pretend to a degree. Or, if you want an inside tub, make it one of the recessed types and construct it of bricks. Diving boards? Are you kidding me? But if you must, a cyprus tree trunk. Cookers? They did have pots, and fire, so work with that. Bonfire meshes exist. Telephones? I'd accept some mysticism, such as a magic mirror or a fake NPC scribe taking a letter. Burglar alarm? An incantation or warning painted in hieroglyphics threatening plague and destruction and venegful Gods, instead. Fire alarms? Consider a bell, or a bucket of sand hung on a wall. I'm just saying, there are ways to make an attempt to stick within your own theme. And I'm no expert on ancient Egypt, and have probably made a LOLable gaffe, but if that was one of my themes, I'd do some basic research into life during that era and adapt to it. Photobooth? More likely you'd have some poor schmoe carving your likeness into a wall or brushing it onto a papyrus. If you want to completely disregard the time era the Sims are geared for, perhaps you need to give up some of the modern conveniences that have no counterparts during your time period. But that's just me. I'm picky like that. I'd love to do a Victorian hood eventually, and what I've seen thus far done in that theme has been fairly well done, and anachronisms are handled fairly well. But because my DL folder is already exploding with downloads, I'm trying to resist the urge to start DLing Victoriana like crazy. Luckily I also kinda like the super mod look, and don't mind decorating Victorian houses with it. That's fairly common where I'm from: retrofitting gorgeous old homes with DSL lines and modern furniture with clean lines. It actually works, because plain, simple furniture tends to highlight the architectural details of the house. A modern house with mod furniture, while fun, can be TOO stark and too bare. Not that this stopped me from making several of those, too.

You are a meanie to poke the Atwa with a pointy stick like that.
My biggest WTF was trying to figure out how ancient Egyptians managed to acquire the technology to use photobooths.
I remember, during Sims 1, a clever creator did a whole series of era-appropriate replacements. There were scrolls instead of computers, and NPC replacements.

I'll believe that when Snopes.com confirms it.
It's a bit of a racist / ignorant thing to blindly believe that other cultures are into activities our / Western culture finds horrifying. There have been a number of debunkings of baby eating, including a famous art piece that was actually a picture of someone eating food that was just shaped like a baby, and another art piece that had a staged set of photos featuring baby doll limbs.

The minute I saw that EatUsAFetus thing, I knew the Hypersensitive Humourless would be up in arms about it and that the joke would be completely ruined with religious, political and "I don't know anything about fine art or art history" posts.
Being prepared for the inevitable did not make dealing with "think of the chilllldrun!!!" posts any easier to deal with. Fer Chrissakes, go to another forum for a few hours if you can't handle a joke about pixels in a game.
*frunz go here*
No, instead of going somewhere else or recognizing that not every joke is going to strike you as being tasteful or even funny, why not stay and piss all over the forum because you are SO OFFENDED by the mere concept?
Way to ruin the fun for everyone else with a sense of humour, or the ability to shrug and move on when something isn't your cup of tea.

The way Delphy suddenly pulled the plug on MATY ....:shock::shock: Say WHAT, now?! *behold my very angry eyebrows* :x That is simply NOT ON. Pardon me while I recoil in my newbieness from what's apparently ancient history. God, you go get a life minus Sims for a few years and you miss out on all the best crazy shit-storms and lurid gossip. Serves me right for having other interests for a while.
