I don't know about whether or not Subway contacted them but I did make a thread about it, said I contacted Subway about it and the textures in the set were quickly changed.

Apparently it was a popular site and so EA "acquired" it just like they do with game companies.  They slapped the Sims name on it hoping to make some more dough off their cash cow.

That's the beauty of threads here.  They can go off topic but they can be brought back to topic just as easily.   So for future reference, even if you see that a thread has gone off topic, post what you have there that's of relevance to the original topic.

Wow, have you read the comments to the blog post?  People are *pissed off*!  I feel bad for all the people that used real money to buy stuff in that game.

I don't believe for a second that Atwat is really gone.  It's a nice thought though.

Aikea's good but still inferior to most free creators because she doesn't have fat morphs.    It's either just laziness or she really doesn't want "fat" sims to wear her creations.   

And do you know this "Anna Maria" personally?  How can you really be sure the person you're talking to is really who he/she says he/she is?  In this community we've had people pretend to be men when female, pretend to die, pretend their husband/kids are sick/dying, pretend to be several people at once, pretend to leave and come back as someone else..  The sims community has had its fill of these nut cases so don't be surprised that we are more than wary when such coincidences comes to light about a person.

Any way you spin it though, you shouldn't be asking for money, even when you're not selling items, when you JUST opened your site.  I don't care who you are.  Can't afford it?  Put it on a free hosting site.  Don't be another leech of this community.

I think people tend to go by how their own interactions have gone with said person over what what has transpired in the past, even with solid evidence of it.  It's how the people who run Holy Simoly are deemed "not as bad" compared to Peggy because they have had better interactions with people even while saying they have no intention to stop selling their items.  It makes me think of how they interview the neighbors of a killer and they just can't believe that guy was like that because he smiled and waved at them when he saw them in the mornings and seemed like a good guy.

That's how she's always been.  Are we really all that surprised?  Come on.

So was what Coconut said about Atwat true?  What's the current news?
