Yeah, I agree with what Darqstar and Paden said- I believe they wouldn't care what kind of site it was: if it's hosting copyrighted images they would probably go after it.   Plus, at the moment TSR isn't making money off of Voldemort/ other HP characters since udontknow is free (for how long though??) .
BUT they are of course hosting other copyrighted material (chaz and jirka's celebrity sims=copyright Infringement since they obviously do not OWN the copied images or have the celebrities permission to do their likeness.) (BTW: are they the same guy?? bc their work looks sooo eerily similar. Hmm I think they are IMO. Double the crook.) This of course is just a small token of the illegally uploaded stuff there.  

I would think that if they were selling the copyrighted udontknow HP stuff though, that WB would probably be more likely to focus on them than the freesites. They would probably actually sue TSR for royalities/revenue made from said sale and probably just issue a letter telling the freesites to take their stuff down. BUT you know chaz (i believe?) has the HP trio up for sale...this may call for a point of contact just to see if WB is aware/ cares. hmmm as rum_nate says it may not hurt to find out....

That was the point I was trying to make-I should have added the illegal part so it didn't get misunderstood! Of course there is NO problem with making money off a hobby that is NOT trademarked by someone else (as well as based off other people's work). I am a cellist and I play for fun and I can also play for an event and get paid for it. It really is a hobby for me though-so yeah no issues there! But when you are a violator of the EULA that's when there's an issue with making money off a hobby. Because let's face it we play the sims for fun as a hobby.  Thanks for pointing this out so my post could be clearer!

I think they tell their fa's to say everything is mostly base game compatible so they can fool people into subscribing/downloading it. Note for minionsRmine: That's very commendable that you and your fam work so diligently and smart on such little (for a fam your size)!  At least you are not selling illegal pixels though~! These Fa's should take a lesson from you if they are in similar situations.   But definitely budgeting is key to making it! Me and my husband have a monthly allowance set up for the various responsibilities we have-and at the end of the month we are good to go bc we stick to our budget. Work smarter not harder huh?

-If you look at their page they totally ripped off peps creations. First off, they have a direct dl link to voldemort's clothes from MTS2. I dled it last night, clicked on it thinking it would go to MTS2 to dl and it actually automatically dled!(guildmasters wiz prince outfit) Udontknow,you SHOULD know better than that. 

And then Snape's clothes is taken from LadyRaven's snape outfit! *sigh*  It's ok to use other's work but umm don't you think you should change it up?!

I totally agree with ya Devilfish-how can she raise her children right when she's being crooked!? (I truly pray they don't grow up to be the next FA generation (Burn TSR, burn)...although children might be able to concoct better meshes than some of these "professionals". Also, they could legally get away with using "shape" in their pics bc they typically are just learning what they are. 

And yes that was fast, she was just free like Friday. Wow, I had a feeling she was being *promoted*. Just like I'm sure they are working on udontknow being promoted to a fa.

Going from pic it does look spot on. hmm. but at least Voldemort looks like he's about to cast "avada kedavrah" sp?
