Also, it irritates me that TSR seems to be coated with teflon.
Mind, Sony did force T$R to take down Blackgarden's playstation stuff. well, at least change the name (and made her pee her pants enough to change some of her other consoles too). AFAIK $ony haven't started picking on any freesites because of it.

Still I suppose it's a risky business.

Telling your kids "no" wont kill them, no matter how often they tell you it will.
That's the thing nowadays, you tell your kids no, they scream 'Human Rights Act' and threaten to go to the cops.

Crumbs, I had a dream last night that calalily became FA at TSR... wtf

ETA: Does Sweden have a law that's equivalent to COPPA? If they don't, I'm not sure that they have to abide by it. It'd be great if they got busted for disobeying it, though.
I dunno. We have CEOP over here in the UK, not sure if there is an EU-wide law though. Would COPPA not kick in if the children in question are in the US?

Why they are soliciting this kind of info - I mean full name and postal address, come on - from children as young as 9 is beyond me. We all know only dud accounts and SAs win the prizes, so the excuse that 'we need your address for giving out prizes' is pure bull.

Not really a macro, but

Is graphic I made for an anti-TSR t-shirt

ValancySterling: WTF? Is that dress actually PAY???

I wonder if TSR was responsible for this??

Millie I so agree. Sadly the cloths shops are full of toddler things with spagetti straps or bare tummy or with diamant words which were once considered swears.
Over here, Tesco sold pole-dancing poles as children's toys, and push-up bras for 7 year olds. Yes, push-up bras.

and it wouldn't surprise me if EA tries to dig their heels in further on this issue
Even so, I don't think they can claim that 'any publicity is good publicity' as far as this court case is concerned. Hopefully the damage that securom is capable of will be made more well known as a result and perhaps more people will join a boycott.
Here's hoping anyway

will it actually attempt to randomly move your mouse around and stuff?
You can just imagine it. Leave the PC alone for 5 minutes, come back and notice that the mouse has clicked on a link to "paypal donate to EA", and the keyboard has entered $100.

*it's 2am.. too early to be funny*
